thank you , I have a table emp( emp_id counter, emp_name text) in Dev env where has data , now I need to copy that data into another SIT env emp( emp_id counter, emp_name text) , will it copy counter fields properly ?
i admit i was concentrated in this video so i may missed something my question is, what is the difference btw int and counter then ? i cannot increment an int ? i assumed so because we were able to add values to a collection phones = phones + {..}, we cannot use something like age = age +1 if age is int ?
Is there any way to update a row where I don't have to manually type the UUID (aka primary key)? Is there any way for me to "get" the uuid from a row and use it in my update that way?
"They cannot be used for columns part of the PRIMARY KEY of a table. A table that contains a counter can only contain counters. In other words, either all the columns of a table outside the PRIMARY KEY have the counter type, or none of them have it." - cassandra.apache.org/doc/latest/cql/types.html#counters

Why cant I user counter as PRIMARY KEY in my C* table like this counter_temp(id counter primary key , comment text);
