    This thing is awesome. Had it for over 5 years, no problems and was dirt cheap. UI could be better but hey the handling is great, no pointless touchscreen, easy volume adjustment and the "clip" part is super useful for running.

    Glad this is not touch screen so perspiration gets in the way. I'd been looking for the right device for a very long time. This is it. It's small enough, easy to load music (easier than the Apple iPod to load music no more going to iTunes store). It also has a radio, has memory for podcasts - and Bluetooth also. And has a clip too & water resistant for the times if it rains when I run/jog. I should have bought one sooner but oh well. I'm impressed with it! Got mine on sale at Best Buy.

    Nice. Gonna buy it. I'm sick of using my battery hungry phone as a MP3 player.
    I mean holy hell! What is wrong with smart phone manufacturers when you can't even get 3 to 4 hours of battery life before it almost completely drains your battery? 3 to 4 hour battery life for playing AUDIO??????????????????

      Sorry to hear that. Ulefone Armor X8 literally went from 96% to 93% while taking a long walk for around 3.5 hours, listening to music. I got it for my mom, and I think maybe I should get one for me, too.

    If they could only build car radio head units, boomboxes and home stereo receivers with a microSD slot and all the readout and Playlist navigation functionality of this SanDisk. For my SanDisk, you can use Amok on your windows PC to convert WMP playlists to M3U playlist folders this unit will support. Older SanDisks/Sansas synced WMP playlists directly but it was a slow process prone to failures. M3U is a universal playlist management format.

    One of the best reviews I have every viewed because whatever mp3 device people review, nobody talks about the interface and navigation.
    This review was very helpful and unfortunately, it strikes SanDisk out of my desired brands as I only listen to Albums separated into folders and I am very particular about the songs within each album coming in their actual Track List order. I get the feeling SanDisk will not work for me. I have already wiped out some other obscure brands for the same reason. So far, I have not found anyone come close to Sony. Unfortunately, Sony's price tags have become ridiculous, and they have stopped producing the affordable models.

    I think I got my ClipSport about 4 years ago (2014). It was cheap considering mp3 players. Today it stopped working - maybe the battery is burned out and would cost more to replace the battery than replace the player itself.

    • @kleinekartoffel1653
      @kleinekartoffel1653 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Use an aux cord.
      Get a aux cord, it has the 3.5mm headphone jack on both ends. One end for the MP3 and one for the car. Which you may have to look for but should have. You should be able to get a aux cord at you local retail store for a buck or two.
      You should be able to plug it in the car, press the "aux" button on your car radio if your car has a button for it, then select your song in the MP3.
      Hope this helps

    Mine works well enough, though I just had to find a video on how to wake it after it locked up and wouldn't power on. But the interface is trash. The various features aren't intuitive and the bluetooth won't automatically connect to my car unless the device is on when I turn the vehicle. The shuffle resets every time it's turned off. I hate to say it, but the old ipod was way better.

    The user interface on this MP3 player is terrible compared to that which a Rockbox based MP3 player provides. It is buggy, has less features, doesn't use the display efficiently and is generally awkward to use. For instance, every single time I have transferred new content to it it forgets the position it was playing. Fast forward and backward is very slow and a pain to use. I only bought this to replace my old Sandisk Sansa Clip + player, where several buttons quit working which sadly has been discontinued, which was a true gem when running the Rockbox firmware. This does not, unfortunately, as of the time writing this, support Rockbox. Until it does, I can't recommend it and if possible, if you're about to buy it, do really try to get your hands on it before you do.
