This year is the 50th anniversary of the first game I saw at White Hart Lane, which was the FA Cup 4th round tie v Wolves in January 1969, we won 2-1 and the great Greaves/Gilzean duo were playing. Just before leaving school in 1972, I was there for the home leg of the UEFA Cup final when we again beat Wolves to lift the trophy (being small of stature, I sat on a crash barrier up in the shelf for the entire game !) I was at Wembley in 1973 when we beat Norwich in the League Cup Final. In 1974, I was at both legs of the UEFA Cup Final which we lost to Feyenoord of Holland. Finally, I was at the FA Cup Final replay in 1982 when we beat QPR, (i wish it had been the 1981 Final !) I am getting on a bit now and more than anything, I am longing with all my heart for my beloved Spurs to win the Premier and be champions of England again - I want it so bad even,more than the Champions League ! So" come on you Spurs" in your wonderful new stadium.
I have been a spurs supporter the day I was born i am 72 I remember the first game we played Aston villa and won 6-2 that was the old ground. Before they up dated it our new ground is the best in the Premier league we need to win something but time will tell as long as we finish above them down the road the Woolwich nomads lol
