    I have to agree. When Trump said he was running again, I rolled my eyes and said, "no, please, just don't." I put my support behind a different candidate, and seeing that the enthusiasm for Trump was simply not there, I assumed the republican party would end up with a different nominee. And then it happened. The accusations, the lawfare. The insanity started all over again. And the more it happened, the more my eyes turned to Trump. The only possible reason for so much irrational and illogical nonsense was that Trump was a threat to, what I call, the deep state. I don't think in reality that he is. But there is something there that I am missing that the deep state is seeing. Something that will upset whatever the heck it is these people either want to do, or are already doing. And yes, they, whoever the heck "they" is, clearly had something to do with this assassination attempt. I've spent all day listening to experts and the like and it does appear to be some kind of deliberate operation. And today, the very first, "anyone who thinks this was state and not some crazed loner republican, is a conspiracy theorist" story, appeared. The second the state and media starts accusing folks of conspiracy theories, you know somethings up. So yeah. They tried to take Trump out, and come hell or high water, I will crawl over broken glass to cast my vote for Donald J. Trump.

      You sound a lot like me. My first choice was Ramaswamy. Still is, I guess.. I think he'd do a better job. But sometime last summer, I decided I had to get behind Trump, to send the message. Lawfare can't be allowed to work, because if it does we'll get more of it.
      "Crazed republican gunman..." who switched parties in the last year. Who donated to progressive PACs. PA has closed primaries- I strongly suspect he switched, so he could vote AGAINST Trump in the primary.
      Check American history, of the presidents who have been unalived or "hit" while in office, six of the seven were republicans. None of their "assaulters" have been republicans
      Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley, T. Roosevelt, Reagan and now Trump- all republicans, and all their assailants were dems or unaligned
      Kennedy- Democrat, and his assailant was a registered socialist
      Dig into history and don't buy the media spin. IF this guy had a bona fide change of heart to explain his party switch, then he'd be the first time a (R) did this.

      @@bobprivate8575 Ramaswamy was also my man. I really hope he plays a big role in the administration. And I would love to see him run in 2028.

      President Trump, before he left office, said something while on live television. "They're not after me, they're after you! I'm just in the way."

    Francesca...I'm one of those 'over 60s' guys who can well remember the JFK, RFK, MLK assassinations...and the attempts on the lives of Gerald Ford and Ronald Reagan. I was born during a war, raised to maturity during a war, the threat of nuclear and mindless civil unrest, and served in the military during a so-called Cold (very often Hot) war. We all need to take a few steps back, clear our heads, revisit the unifying things that have joined us together in the past, and understand that the U.S. is, and has always been, a work in progress. Every candidate for office in every election we've ever held since the 1780s has been flawed in one way or the other. We all need to consider the options and grasp the fact that sometimes the right thing to do and the hardest thing to do are the same thing.

    Like Teddy Roosevelt, when he was attacked at a speech and who also upset the establishment apple cart, our man gets right back up to signal to the crowd that he still has fight in him. 😎

    The secret service protection was pretty awful. Won't go into details, but the more you look the worse it looks.

      @Soldrik_ หลายเดือนก่อน

      If I'm not mistaken it was "fake" secret service and Biden denied extra secret service when requested. All planned by Sniffer Joe. The director of secret service is panicking. She's been called out. No answer yet.

    I'm American, but I lived in Germany 2007 until 2019. When I returned, I absolutely could not believe how the media and full force of the democratic party seemed to dedicate their entire professional lives to going after this one guy. I know this was going on well before I came back home too. Trump gets pretty unprofessional on camera, and he sometimes he's hot headed and said things that weren't very presidential or political, but at least I knew where he actually stood, which was refreshing in a way... and I tended to agree with his actual policies. People I met in Germany always loved Obama, but America had lost all its strength in their eyes under his presidency. They thought Trump was a bit of a joke, but the country itself got its respect back under his watch.
    Fast forward to 20204 and the media is still going strong, and actually getting worse. On top of that, multiple lawsuits were filed, both criminal and civil, and I looked very carefully at the circumstances in each one, and the only one that even had a hint of legitimacy was the documents case - although it's also well known that many many politicians hang onto documents after office and nobody had every been charged.
    Then the legal challenges one by one began toppling, and the rhetoric escalated even further. Reports on the immunity ruling were especially inflammatory, although having gone through all 119 pages of the ruling I can say pretty confidently that it's founded in very solid legal principles... the only real question I had on the ruling related to gathering evidence for official actions. I think that aspect should have been some kind of middle ground between the majority ruling and Barret's concurring opinion. I spotted major flaws in both Sotomayor and Jackson's dissenting opinions.
    Anyway, after the legal challenges failed and Biden absolutely bombed the debate... 6+ years of media rhetoric and all the improper lawfare really only left one path to follow for people who'd been listening for all these years and believed "the future of the country is at stake" so this was absolutely no surprise to me. I hate to say this, but Cooks incompetence may have saved Trump because now there's no way they won't improve security measures going forward, and I really don't think he was the only one willing to do this.

    • @bobprivate8575
      @bobprivate8575 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No way they won't improve security? You're more trusting than me. I think this was intentional. Maybe not the actual act, but intentionally keeping security light. Just like Biden refusing to provide a SS detail for RFK Jr. RFK is a presidential candidate, had threats on his life, and FFS he's a Kennedy- both his father and his uncle were unalived- and Biden refused him secret service protection.

    I agree100%! Some of us have been paying attention for a LONG time and everything went into overdrive with 9/11. Glad to see and hear a young person such as yourself aware and spreading the word since there was a time only old weirdos even suspected much less publicly spoke on such things. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, they can't get us all.

    I’m not on any side. Party wise but I’d love to see an America in my lifetime that would have some level of decency for once. I’m American myself & CULTURALLY speaking I despise the way country has been treated in last 3 in a half years. & if TRUMP 2024 is the case. Then so be it. & I loath the idea Parties for instances of hostility just like this.

    Whats fascinating to me, is how many apolitical or just "silent majority" peeps are now publicly and openly expressing conservative views or support for Trump. One of the channels I watch, specifically an AC Milan sports channel posted public support for Trump afterwards. Surprised me NGL.
