London is a Canadian city in southwestern Ontario, just north of Lake Erie and the U.S. border. It's home to the University of Western Ontario. Among the city's range of museums are Museum London, a showcase for regional art and historical artefacts, and the interactive Children's Museum. The city centre features numerous parks and greenways along the Thames River.
In this video we walked in London city downtown along Dundas street, Wellington street, Queens Avenue, King Street, Richmond Street, Riverside drive, visited Victoria park, Walter J. Blackburn Memorial Fountain, Western University, Forks of the Thames, London Thames river, Museum London and other London point of interest and things to see.

This truly a beautifully shot video, and the marvelous thing about it is that in complete 8:18 minutes of it somehow we don't see a single crack head, of which there are plenty. I've never seen our city look so amazing is it looks in this video, I'm seeing London in a whole new light😀

So familiar with London Ontario,used to travel to London to work for Western Fair(after CNE), Sun festival (Victoria Park), visit friends in Poplar Hill.

@@lvfreeAdventures Haven't visited London for a couple of years, don't really remember the address,just googled, the result is 387 Wellington Rd, London north.
There are two of them now in London. One on Wellington is still open, and then there is one in Hyde Park area!

This is the city that had hosted my favorite Worlds in figure skating ten years ago! I want to visit this city!
I wasn't at the worlds in London but I was at the Canadians when it was here in London. Budweisor Gardens is an amazing venue right next door to Market Gardens with so many amazing restaurants all around the area.

@@ralex3697 it’s actually developing into a better city. A lot more intense development in the core and neighborhoods making them more vibrant. Yes I understand the homeless problem but what developing city doesn’t have that issue. Give it 10 years and London will be totally transformed

this video is how i first saw it online google search 7 years ago. i loved the same things shown in this video. i live in the woodfield area now where it is
designated a heritage area. so sadly the city has been disintegrating due to addicts who are aggressive, violent often, leave contaminated needles everywhere,
garbage, destruction to property, selfish with no desire to care for the place they live. crime has increased greatly along with so much death from overdoses or
fentanyl added to the other drugs being taken. a once beautiful city that resembled this video is desperately trying to recover economically as well. i will stay here
despite all obstacles out there. all measures to end the homelessness due to addictions and now some people having no place to go after greedy landlords
attempt to or succeed to evict tenants through threats, intimidation and bullying simply because the tenant is elderly or has a lower income and is more
vulnurable to these fear tactics. the LTB is cracking down on this and i hope there will be a change for the positive in the future for all who live here. please do not
give up on this lovely city yet..life has cycles of ups and downs, it will recover again. we must do what we can not to give entitlement to destructive forces though.
I hope good times will come back...

i was born there but my parents moved us to alberta when i was 4 years old :( i often think about how different my life would be if i stayed 🥺

I'm thinking if there are people wanting pics of themselves that look better then they feel they look in reality this is the cameraman to contact bc the images portrayed in this video paint a beautifully inaccurate picture.. anyone notice that downtown had no people... no grass.. multiple empty storefronts.. the reason there are no people will be bc the homeless will have been ushered away from the spots they were filming..
the red brick building in the beginning.. that's the delta armouries... the park across the street is one of Londons multiple tent cities... if I had the equipment to do so I'd go and film the same path from an unaltered view

We've been named "Second Best London in the World" for 118 years in a row...
It looks empty for a city! I would have expected to see more people but it could be too early.
It was Saturday noon, not sure if it always like that
The city is dead, the core is a mess, shopping centres killed the core. It’s always like this. Huge empty multi million dollar mall empty right downtown.
The Downtown core was hit hard by the pandemic, notice all the border up windows.
More lively when the students come to town

London by a wide margin is the most boring major city in Canada. It's ultra ultra conservative in the sense that people don't like anything different, mind you you won't encounter right wing politics either because it's too conservative for even a bit of individualism.
The main benefit of living in London is that there's an abundance of mid level employment. There's no room for advancement, the working culture is ultra conservative, with the majority of jobs being with satellite companies that have their HQ's in Toronto. Job advancement or skill development is severely limited, also people really resent people who are trying to develop their careers. If you're not here for work, goto any neighboring town, even small farming towns.
Despite being a city of a half million people, the city offers almost no benefit that a town of 50,000 doesn't offer. . The downtown-urban areas are overrun with addicts, you'll never feel safe unless you're at the mall/box stores. You'll look forward to going to the mall and driving out of London.
I really dislike calling people hicks/close minded, but being closed off is the definitive energy of the city. The pandemic resulted almost no change to my lifestyle. If you live in London long enough, you'll turn into a boiling friend. Every year you live here you'll become more and more closed off to other people.
There's no culture to speak of, it's festivals etc are the most vanilla acts you can imagine. Even the hicks of the city are generic. They like beer and they like hockey, there's no cute accents, traditions, ideas, or sense you can be part of a working class community.
I know you read comments like this and assume people here just like to complain or just have complaints that are common in any city. But I promise you'll be a boiling frog living here, every year you'll become more and more withdrawn from the community.

Looks beautiful on video! But I just move here and it is actually not like that, theres hundreds of homeless people, they are doing drugs all the time, everybody seems ok with that, looks like the are use too. The streets are dirty and everythings looks old. It is a small city with nothing to do.
Focus on good things rather than bad
It's true. There are actually over 1000 homeless people, a huge drug problem and crime galore. You can't go out safely after nightfall. I live two blocks from the "charming cobblestone street" and intercepted a burglar coming in through the bedroom window just last night. It's a dull yet dangerous shithole and I can't wait to get out of here...even Detroit would be an improvement.

You are making a very big mistake. Please please please please think again. I myself was staying in London Ontario for just one year and my life became hell. It is incredibly difficult to get a normal job and even if you did then it will be as stressful as hell. You get fired from a Manager's position in a big automotive engineering company without notice. The rents are way way way tooooo expensive. Lots of homeless and people with HIV. Lots of drugs. People are tooooo rude to each other. They secretly plot to kill you. This video is deceptive. Friends stab you in the back. I am now living in a peaceful paradise in Edmonton, Alberta.
