Woahh glad to see this guide from someone who is 4x start up founder, you’re actually doing stuff in life, looking forward to getting into this. Thanks for the value!!
Yes it's money but it's worth it, it allows me to have a very very detailed overview. Anyway, the solution you propose is very good to see the tasks and milestones at a glance in the Timeline view.
Brooke, nice video. Good examples with Asana. I'm implementing this now and I had a question about your implementation and tracking. How do you do the scorekeeping aspect of the 12 year plan? Does Asana compute that or do you track it and compute it somewhere else? Thanks!
Glad it was helpful! I actually just compute it myself during my weekly checkins/planning. I just take number of actions/goals for the week i completed divide by the total for the week. Gets me my percentage. Also, you know deep down if it was a great week, okay week, or bad week. You could rank it based on your gut feeling.
Hi! I appreciate you showing a close-up of the behind the scenes set-up! Quick question: When setting up your Vision, I noticed you set the “due date” for “today”. Could you explain that a bit more?
All of the visioning tasks are essentially just journaling activities. "Today" was the day I sat down to do the journaling. None of what I visioned was "due" that day. :)
Your video was very helpful, thank you! I have a question, how will you do with the next "12 weeks year" project? Will you archive the old project and begin with a new one?
Hi Carlos! Thanks for watching. Yes, I’ll duplicate the template to start a new 12 week year and archive this one. I can then go back and review each 12 weeks at the end of the year to reflect, observe trends, and plan.
I love this book, but I feel that I can't implement it because there's a lot going on in my life. I have many goals to accomplish, and I know that if I don't pay attention to some, I will fail in that area of my life. I'm trying to figure out how to make a 12-week year plan without setting aside some important activities.
I understand. It can be overwhelming especially if you're a high achiever with ALL the ideas. My suggestion is to just focus on one goal for 12 weeks. Just one. Obviously I don't know your life or what you're wanting to achieve, but as someone with ADHD and 5 million things I want to achieve, I always have to come back to "the one thing, the one action" I can do right now to move forward. Sometimes that's as simple as literally closing all my tabs, refocusing on my 12 week year, choosing a single task, setting at timer for 10 minutes, and just starting. You got this! I believe in you. :)
Thanks for sharing informative video . I have a query could you tell me how we can do weekly task on a one day because you know that time sometimes is a limitation and how we ca do it an achievable task
Thanks! I'm not sure I understand your question but you can make recurring tasks in Asana and set it to repeat daily, weekly, or any other time frame. Is that what you're asking?
@@brookerobertsco I am too, ready to get out and about but being in the Texas climate, our winters are mild so it doesn't hinder us as much as KC. I'm just pumped for baseball season, sorry Chiefs fans. Haha
Sometimes it does! lol But I just pretend I'm having coffee with a friend and they've asked me a question about the topic I'm covering. Makes it feel less weird. lol
I started using the 12 week year and the results were amazing
🔥 What was one result you achieve? Would love to know. :)

This book helped me get a job in two months, at the end of the year in 2023.
What a great testimonial!
Looking forward to giving your template a try, thanks for sharing your process.
Nice! Let me know how it goes! :)
Love your breakdown. And I love Asana. So many people using Notion and that did not resonate with me. Thank you.
Thanks for the video, Brooke, but what about the Goals functionality that comes with Asana? Isn't it more practical for you?
Great question! The goals feature requires a paid account and I’m too cheap for that. Lol

Thank you! This was a quality video on the 12 week year and how to apply the method
You're so welcome!
Nicely done recap and insight. Much appreciated!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent video about 12 weeks year. With this video I could learn about it and practiced my listening. Thank you.

This was a great video, exactly what I was looking for an Asana template for the 12 week year! Thank you! 😊
So glad the video was helpful. The Asana system has been working great for me! Going to share an update on it soon. :)
Excellent! Thank you for the template pretty lady Brooke!
