Some great examples of awesome property deals in an area that can be extremely pricey. $100K apartment with a million dollar view of Lake Como in Bellano...incredible. I particularly like the villa in Mandello del Lario, although my intention is to downsize, but a great deal as well. Got me thinking about adding Lake Como area to possible retirement destinations. Thanks, Giorgio.
This is true. The Golden Triangle areas are the most expensive. The closer you are to the lake (walking distance), views, can you drive up to the property? Some properties require you to park at the community parking lot and walk to property via narrow walkways. This makes it inconvenient for delivery of items. Mid lake/West side of the lake gets more sunshine year round. Properties on the east side/higher elevation can have many consecutive days with low cloud cover. Transportation. There are more ferry options from certain areas, making it easier to explore the other areas of the lake. Smaller towns have less amenities (super markets, coffee shops, restaurants etc). I was pleasantly surprised how affordable many areas were if you don't need to be in the 'sexier' areas. Some areas, you better be FIT/IN good health!
I was surprised by some of the prices on Lake Como. Not sure who buys villas anymore as family size around the world is generally shrinking, but very good info as usual. BTW first place is very good value, but at 62 3rd floor walkup, those days are gone.
Thanks Giorgio for a very nice video presentation. Ciao!
My pleasure Fergus

My pleasure Mike. Hopefully I am getting the message across that Real Estate on Lake Como is affordable in certain towns.

Many thanks for your feedback. 62 is not that old!!!! My father is older and still goes for long walks and climbs the stairs.
Very interesting!
Indeed.
Beautiful places. Loved Lake Como ❤
My favorite lake
