Thank you Nate, love your video style, no nonense and thorough. Bejie's long term looks perfect for settling down for a while, looks nice and clean and nice greenery view as you say. I would feel blessed to have that place. I'm 60 and still doing weightlifting so stairs are a good thing for me, fitness wise. Thanks for your reviews I am probably am probably headed back to the Philippines for the 6th time on a 3 month visa. I like Malmybay and am looking for a long-term stay. I am a sole traveler and enjoy meeting the locals.I am no prude, and can swear like a sailor, but I would eliminate 'Bum Gun' from my vocabulary.

Glad you enjoyed the Malaybalay videos. I guess the phrase "bum gun" is more common in thailand. Makes sense though. Little water gun for your bum. 😄

@@expatlifestyle2000 Haha. I gotta admit, I like the 'Bum Gun'. It's weird, I just contacted the guy you rented from through Air BNB and tried to establish plans for a March-May 59 day visa. I like to stay in one place in the Philippines. I guess I may be like you. Searching for the right girl. Traveling resorts is fun, but you are a one night wonder.
Due to commitments, I have made arrangements to visit the Philippines during March -May. I've traveled, and at the age of 66yo, am tired of 25m2 studios and cold showers, the sun streaming in your face.
I REALLY want to spend 3 months in Malayaday, establish relationships, and earn the trust of the locals. But, I worked hard and need SUPERIOR accommodation to entice me for a 3 month stay. I've checked online, watched the your videos, but I need more. A place within walking distance or a trike ride away. Can you help me out? Don't worry, I've paid my dues in the past.
This will be my 6th trip to the Philippines, but I have been to other SE Asian countries. The Philippines is not the best, but the people are the best, and they speak English.
Filipinas? They are great. They are sexy (although getting fatter), and loveable. But, it's a matter of degrees. Women are the same every where. Some of the attraction is your eyes, nose, perhaps height. Your ability to be a mentor and a reputation of being a leader and not a cheater.. But, most of it is your ability to raise their living standards. Once you accept this, you will sort the wheat from the chaff and find a genuine Filipina.
I like your genuine style 'Expat'. Let's have a beer together. I'll commit, for 3 months, if I can find the right place to stay. James

@ominousenough6172 If I showed off the places in my vids that is what I've seen available for rentals. I'll keep my ears and eyes open though. Tbh there isn't luxury months stays that I've seen so far. Unless you negotiate with the resorts but then you will need transportion.
Heck yes if I'm in town we can link up. Hopefully you love your time here. I know I do. Why not explore another Asian country though? I get loving the philippines but how do you know what else is out there unless you see it for yourself?

Do you know if the New Bukidnon Sports and Cultural Complex oval track is open to the public for athletic training? Specifically sprint training on the rubberized track? I can not find that information any where on the Internet. I am not in the Philippines right now. I drove by it in April during the festivals.

    • @expatlifestyle2000

@@expatlifestyle2000 I tried calling the provincial capitol and their phone system is in disarray, lol. I finally spoke to a barely literate person in their so called technology division who seemed to think it is not yet open to the public but will eventually be. Amazingly difficult to access online such basic information like this on certain details in the Philippines.
I was in Dumaguete more than a decade ago when they were constructing the public stadium and oval rubber track. It is only in recent years from Google review photos that one can see there is a photo of the sign at that entrance which documents the policies for public use. I was happy to see it says strictly that those walking and jogging slowly must move to outer lanes to give way to those sprinting and doing genuine HIIT athletic training. Unfortunately my experience is that Filipinos never obey it and loiter in the inner lanes making the oval useless for sprint training. Imagine the very capital intensive resource being turned into a parking lot, same as for the right lane of their highways become parking lots.
Some things I love about the Philippines, but other things are extremely frustrating. Which is why I moved to Mexico instead after living in the Philippines for ~27 years up until 2020. To escape the protoplasm congestion of East Asia. Their covid lockdowns (which are coming back with up to ten mandatory jabs annually starting next year, to be enforced with the mandatory national id initiative) was the last straw for me. Absolutely insane. My senior citizen Belgium friend who was trapped there said those over a certain age were not even allowed to go outside their homes for many months. He had to sneak out his back window and scamper down a rural mountain so he could stealthily go for a jog on the hidden trails. They had military or police stationed outside of the homes all over the country. Amazing the amount of resources they commandeered for enslaving people. Tells me something about the mentality and Asian authoritarian culture. Good luck with that. I certainly would be leaving before late 2025.
Most vloggers do not present both the good and bad side of the Philippines. They try to make it seem like it is a paradise and the problems are not significant. Those of us who have lived there long enough, understand the reality.

@@expatlifestyle2000 what I wrote in the reply that YT censored was along other *VERY* *IMPORTANT* things YT does not want you to know, is that the provincial capitol office seemed to indicate it is not yet open to the public, but will be eventually. No ETA provided. Yes I would like to do some athletic training on the rubber track, if the public will follow standard track etiquette and not loiter on the inside lanes. My experience though is they will walk on the inside lanes making the track unusable by serious athletes. Typical frustrations of the Philippines.
