AIR 1943 "The ingenious use of aircraft to solve the intricate tactical problems, by the transport of reinforcements, supplies and munitions, including field guns, is a prominent feature of MacArthur's generalship and should be carefully studied in detail by all concerned in the technical conduct of the war." below 1476 WAR SITUATION HC Deb 11 February 1943
I've found the Burma series quite hard to follow. There is a lot of jumping around, describing the geography and rewinding time as new players are introduced. I wonder if there should be some rehearsing and planning done before recording.
As James said, it's the nature of the overall battle. A lot goes on at the same time. You can't just concentrate on one area, as multiple different battles all effect each other, but all happen at roughly the same time. I would suggest looking at a map of the area, as this does help. Personally, I printed one out and then drew on it each different battle and general direction of the Allies and Japanese. Just think how Slim must have felt trying to keep up with all of this !!
Thank you Al and James.
