Jake, I congratulate you for receiving 2:1 in your Bachelor degree in Computer Sciences considering that Computer Science can be difficult. I got nervous too about checking my results for my MA in Classical Studies last year and having to rewrite my MA dissertation at the Open University because I did find the MA for the two years that I was doing it very difficult. When the OU emailed me saying that I completed my requirements for the MA in Classical Studies, I knew that I passed and I did and I earned my MA in Classical Studies at the OU.

+Sanzz HD I'm currently studying it. The best thing I'd recommend is learn Java if you haven't already, it's the main programming language throughout the three years. Knowing this will aid you a lot and make your life so much easier! I learnt the hard way haha :)

Its crazy to think how all these people are great at studying, and was accepted in Cambridge. Yet, they seem to be very social and extravagant. Here in japanese highschools... good grades = almost no social life.... most of the time

All UK universities use the same system.

It's a long time since you asked and a longer time since I got my degree, but your class is purely how many marks you got. 290 out of 400 if I remember right was a first, 250 was a 2.1 and so on. On the other hand your place just depended on how many people scored higher than you. In applying for jobs I'm pretty sure no-one asks what place you got, just your class. After all, if you were all brilliant you could get a first and be say 40th, if you were all mediocre you could get a 2:1 and be placed second, or even first.
"May week" in Cambridge used to actually happen in May. Nowadays, exams take place in May (when the vlogs talking about exams would have been filmed) and the week of balls and other events is postponed til the following month. This vlog is from June, as Jake's videos are uploaded at a rate of a few months delay because of how busy he is.
Although these vlogs were produced months ago, Jake is deliberately uploading them in this unhurried pace because he is aware that we, the spectators, are here for the Cambridge vlogs, not for the vlogs that will be filmed of his professional life in London.
