Peanut sauce in Mindanao bc of it’s proximity to Indonesia which is the base of Sate’ sauce. Historically, Indonesia and Philippines were one family thousands of years before the colonization started. Spain took possession of the Philippines and the Dutch took Indonesia and that’s how it was divided. The British East India Co leased land from the Sultanates of Mindanao and land from Sultanates in Indonesia and never returned the land but formed the Federation of Malaysia. Indonesia, Malaysia and Philippines are called the Malay race. The Spanish made the Philippines a Christian country while Malaysia and Indonesia remained Muslim( which was originally Muslim).
