I'm a Democrat but have voted for a Republican before. We had a Republican County Clerk and Recorder who was great during the 2020 election. He always acted with kindness, was personable, and was helpful during elections by ensuring that voters were free of intimidation and free of election engineering. I don't know how many years, or even decades, he was in charge of the county's clerk and recorder office, but in 2022 he wanted to hold a different government position. I voted for him when I saw his name on the ballot, and he won 🙂 I would vote for Republicans like Raffensberger, Kinzinger, et. al., who put country before party. Our democracy is truly under attack. As a former Republican who left in 1999, I don't like the taste of Kook-Aid or faux-conservativism. So the Democratic Party got a progressive centrist. I have voted straight blue since then and will continue to do so, unless the Democratic Party shifts too much from its current economic and social course.

I'm a Democrat but have voted for a Republican before. We had a Republican County Clerk and Recorder who was great during the 2020 election. He always acted with kindness, was personable, and was helpful during elections by ensuring that voters were free of intimidation and free of election engineering. I don't know how many years, or even decades, he was in charge of the county's clerk and recorder office, but in 2022 he wanted to hold a different government position. I voted for him when I saw his name on the ballot, and he won 🙂 I would vote for Republicans like Raffensberger, Kinzinger, et. al., who put country before party. Our democracy is truly under attack.
