We had mashed potatoes tonight to celebrate the debate (we were REALLY hoping Kamala would be amazing, and we know Donald hates/fears a powerful woman more than anything, so he would be totally losing it)!!! I LOVE how she walked right in and went around the podium as he tried to avoid her face to face handshake, but she just took the handshake! He ALWAYS used handshakes (or withheld them) to dominate others, but KAMALA was such a powerhouse just dominating by being very assertive and confident from the jump, while he seemed intimidated. It was gloriously therapeutic, and I'm a Canadian.
About the closing statements, he made very depressing statements and degrading Biden/Harris and VP Kamala said such positive and encouraging statements.
One amusing thing was the difference in each candidate's use of facial expression while the other was talking. While Trump blathered on, Harris was smiling or laughing to herself. And while Harris was making good points, Trump often had his eyes closed. He probably wanted to give the impression that he was bored [which would actually have been one more indication of weakness], but instead we couldn't help remembering his perpetual dozing off during his losing court trial when he should have been paying attention. Nonverbal communication!

We had mashed potatoes tonight to celebrate the debate (we were REALLY hoping Kamala would be amazing, and we know Donald hates/fears a powerful woman more than anything, so he would be totally losing it)!!! I LOVE how she walked right in and went around the podium as he tried to avoid her face to face handshake, but she just took the handshake! He ALWAYS used handshakes (or withheld them) to dominate others, but KAMALA was such a powerhouse just dominating by being very assertive and confident from the jump, while he seemed intimidated. It was gloriously therapeutic, and I'm a Canadian.

About the closing statements, he made very depressing statements and degrading Biden/Harris and VP Kamala said such positive and encouraging statements.
What a romp. Great night for Kamala Harris. Trump revealed his true blathering self. Looking up for Harris.
One amusing thing was the difference in each candidate's use of facial expression while the other was talking. While Trump blathered on, Harris was smiling or laughing to herself. And while Harris was making good points, Trump often had his eyes closed. He probably wanted to give the impression that he was bored [which would actually have been one more indication of weakness], but instead we couldn't help remembering his perpetual dozing off during his losing court trial when he should have been paying attention. Nonverbal communication!
