Awesome profile!! Japan is our favorite vacation destination for me and my husband. You are absolutely right about the darker side of the culture. I loved the end result of this video...amazing job!!
A bit sad that the channel does not have more content. Maybe in a couple years YT algorithm will put it into recommended and it will get the couple million views it deserves:)
"I would never want to draw a flowery picture." The image shown, my interpretation, is how the japanese men have left real women for 2D anime girls and are losing their masculinity. Delving themselves deeper into the pits of a broken state, afterall a man feels fulfilled when he has a mission and he achieves it, however when he doesn't have it, but instead of making one, he is forced into the easiness of the modern world, he loses himself. Now to me this is a genuinely strong societal commentary given the amount of h*nta| is out there and continues to be produced.
This is Katsuhiro Otomo 's son.
Shohei's father is the one who created the anime and manga Akira.
Wait really this is his son??

Bona Fide Path SHOHEI’s got a great perspective. He spends a lot of time thinking about Japanese culture
Amazing, very surprised this video and channel does not have more attention. Very well directed, all that sound and visual editing.

Wow! He inherited his coolness from his dad
He's even cooler than him lol. I'd love it if he made a manga, even a single volume one. I love the Otomos' art styles.
"I would never want to draw a flowery picture." Gotta admire the timing of the image that shows up when he says this.
