The image shown, my interpretation, is how the japanese men have left real women for 2D anime girls and are losing their masculinity. Delving themselves deeper into the pits of a broken state, afterall a man feels fulfilled when he has a mission and he achieves it, however when he doesn't have it, but instead of making one, he is forced into the easiness of the modern world, he loses himself.
Now to me this is a genuinely strong societal commentary given the amount of h*nta| is out there and continues to be produced.
