Great little boats for the price ive had one for a year and a half the only issue i had was the hopper started cracking i used for plastic angle and glued it where the screws mount now it is super strong and a easy fix i would atleast advise people to try and add some washers just to prevent the hopper cracking where the hinge mount nuts are as the nuts they use are very small

Been using one for the last three years without sonar , taken to France three times been faultless good battery life good in rough water for the peanuts it cost a real bargain would get another in a heartbeat

I bought one very similar to that. I already have a mega expensive waverunner, with integral Tolson fish finder. But it only cost me £80, and for that price I thought it would be handy as an emergency spare if my main boat breaks down whilst I’m away in France. However, I really like this boat. It’s so much lighter, and for small uk waters, especially ones where you have to lug your gear quite far from where you park, it’s perfect. I should also say, if you have a deeper fish finder, you can buy a mount that fits onto the boat very easily too.
@drcarp7377 Which mount for the deeper do you think of? The issue with this model is that it drops the rig behind the boat, so the usual & most convenient place to mount deeper is somewhat compromised :(
@@micharudecki2320 Funny enough, I was just looking for the same one I have as I accidentally stood on it and snapped part of the arm the other day! I can’t find the exact same one I bought on the internet yet. Maybe they have gone bust, or just redesigned them. Anyway, I too was worried about the rig tangling as it is being thrown out the back of the boat. The attachment arm was fasten by a Velcro patch that sticks on the back of the boat, so I stick that on as far to the right as possible. And then when I loaded the rig into the tray, I made sure my lead and rig were on the left, if that makes sense. I then always put a stick mix on the hook to conceal the hook from getting caught on it. That way in almost never tangled.
If I do find that design, I will let you know. But if I was looking for an alternative, I would go for one with a slim attachment arm. Some of them have two arms connected together. That’s tangle city in my view. So I would avoid those!
@@drcarp7377 many thanks for a quick reply! My idea is to mount deeper on a go pro helmet mount but as you said more on one of the side to avoid tangles. I will also make kind of floater for the deeper (as in the original deeper bb mount) to avoid sinking which will increase the deeper range.
Once more question - when you had mounted the deeper on one side, did you experience any problems with steering or going to GPS points (if you had GPS in your boat)?

@@micharudecki2320 No problems steering whatsoever. The deeper on the mount adds drag to the right hand side of the boat, for sure. But if you are placing the lead and the rig with a stick attached on the other, that extra weight on the left hand side tends to cancel it out. The other good thing about the deeper on its mount on the back of the boat with this kind of throwing out the back delivery system, is the lead and rig is landing close to where the deeper is sensing.

Wife has got me the Camo version for Christmas, I be used my mates actor a few times with the below dropper, so will try the flipper, should be OK.
It doesn't flip too far. It will drop it a couple of inches behind the boat. Sounds like a pretty good Xmas pressie though!

Would it be robust enough for the ocean?
Do bait boats help ? I like fishing for the free fish. Not so much for the sport.
@@frankenstein3163 it depends what you use it for. I typically use mine on venues where I want to get a lot of bait out onto a certain area as well as be accurate with my rig. If you fish open water areas with little or no snags then its pretty pointless

Still works fine but not been out for a while. I'm out on sunday/Monday and have no concerns with the boat at all. Would recommend one for the price point
How do you charge it? My dad has got a similar boat for Christmas, but his manual doesn't say about where to plug the lead to charge it.
There is a plug inside the battery carrier by the Ariel. That is where you plug it in to charge the internal boat battery. Hope that helps

How are you finding the fish finder, is it any good ? Am thinking of buying 1 cheers
I've only used it a couple of times so far and it's been OK. It helped me with finding a couple of features more than anything the times I used it. It did ping fish last time I was out but I couldn't get into a swim near the fish sadly to see how accurate it was

Hi Tariq, I paid approx £180 for this with all the kit in the video. You can get the boat on its own for approximately £80-100. Hope that helps

All good. Was out in January with one of the kids and was working a treat. Also provided some light entertainment on a blank. Still can't fault it yet

The ads say £65 for EVERYTHING...seems cheap
I think I paid £120 or something like that at the time for 3 batteries and the fish finder etc. There are loads of different companies selling the same boat so if you have found 1 that cheap then it's more than likely correct

can you plug a second battery in ?
No it has an internal battery and a compartment for another one. It can only use 1 at a time but they do last for ages. You should easily get 2/3 solid days use out of each

I would say no. I think a couple of waves would drown it having used it on a windy day on a lake.

Is there a way to put the fish finder on the back of it?
Not that I have been able to find hence my makeshift way of doing it. The finder only has 2 small holes on it to attach it in some way and there isn't anything on the back of the boat to indicate you can fit an arm to mount it

No it doesn't
Does the return button work?
It doesn't have a return but it does have a set speed button so you don't have to hold forward which is what I use when bringing it back in. Hope that helps
@@budgetfishing3611 is that what the back button does ? As I have a similar model not sure what the right two buttons do and the back one manual was in Chinese
@@ernestwhy.5221 yeah you hold forward and then press it and it acts like cruise control. 1 button is for the tipper, 1 for lights and I think the other 2 are for if you get the one with extra hoppers on as it seems a generic remote
How long work battery??
Since I bought it I have used it once a month and only changed the battery over once so it does well on 1 charge. Probably 6 to 8 hours continuous use per battery based on the above usage
Has anybody tested the range in this? It says it’s 500m range, I don’t to go out to that but knowing it’s good out to about 300m is handy to know.
I've not tested it further than a typical lake out to approx 40m. I don't think I would be able to see it at 500 😂

It was paired to the boat straight away. I didn't have to do anything with it apart from turn them both on
