    Most of my soaps have about 6 tspn of kaolin clay. I love adding clay, it makes my soap so silky

    Hi Karen, can you save a recipe on soap calc or do you just save the printed version?

    Karen, I love your foils you use for your labels. Where do you get it and how do you print them? Thank you!also, the gold knives are amazing! What brand are those? I’m going to ask for some nice knives for Christmas and they must be gold.

    I would love to try making this soap but would like to cut the recipe in half, but the coconut, palm and olive oil all have a .5g instead of a even amount. For example coconut oil is 112.5g if you cut it in half, so if I round it up to 113g do I round one of the others down, like palm oil is 92.5g rounded down it's 92g? I want to be sure it comes out ok. How do I know my altering .5g of ingredients will be ok, do I just put it into soap calculator to check? Thanks for your advice! I'm amazed at your talent!

    I’m going to make this today. I had someone ask for a non scented soap. She likes goats milk so I’ll be using that instead of water but I have the clay and the butters. Thank you!

    Hi, I was wondering about how you do get safety assessment (CPSR) for soaps with ingredients without MSDS or "not tested on animal" declaration? There are some ingredients that I want to use but the the company does not have any MSDS or "not tested on animal" declaration. It is som much easier and cheaper to start a soap business in the US and Canada!

    Hello dear Karen, I'm in the middle of watching your video, but I saw a while back that soapcalc does the INCI for you. There is a button you can click, somewhere in the upper right corner of your recipe if I remember well, and there it will list your oils in the order for your label. Now on with watching your cozy video on a saturday morning :)

    • @EdensSecret1
      @EdensSecret1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, there is a button on soap calc that does the INCI...

    Lye heat how much

    • @nicolemitchell446
      @nicolemitchell446 ปีที่แล้ว

      Room temperature. I usually soap at about 35 deg C. It depends on what oils you use. If you use a lot of hard oils and butters they can get cloudy and thick if you soap too cool and give you false trace. I hope that helps. You could also look up how to check for emulsion. It is the best way to ensure you have mixed enough as trace can be deceiving.

    I believe you could have added more clay! It didn’t go thick on you with all of the blending.

    • @EdensSecret1
      @EdensSecret1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, me too, think I could have added double the clay and it would still have worked well
