Love the woven look baby blanket! Very pretty! Great linen stitch blankets too! I'm on a linen stitch (I call it moss stitch) kick too, but I've been crocheting C2C linen stitch preemie blankets using Crystal at BOD's tutorial for C2C moss stitch. Love it!! What I love about it is that I can get it to the exact size I want & then decrease! Awesome! Great pattern by Zee & love it as an ear warmer. 🥰Blessings from South Australia💕🐨

Thanks. And its easier than you think....the weaving is a little harder because it is not sit in front of the tv kind of work. You have to do it at a table

Hi Debbie! I love the linen stitch too❣It was my stitch of the year last year and I made myself a blanket which took me all year because I have never made a blanket for myself lol 😹My husband said it was time I made one. I'm still making blankets with that stitch. I find it very rhythmic and calming. I Love those hats you made with Zees pattern 💙 I need to make one. I watched the video where Connie said she was helping out, she is so sweet. Our crafty community is the best 🪡🧵🧶

You will love the linen stitch. But remember that every colour change means more ends to weave in...that is the only drawback

Your linen stitch is what I have always called the moss stitch. Only stitch I use for baby blankets. I just love it. Works well with Bernat Blanket yarn. But I use that stitch for many other things as well. I want to use it to make a sweater sometime.
yes, I have heard it called that as well and a sweater would be awesome. I am working on a cardigan using this stitch

For lighting, face the window! Never have the window behind you. Stick the camera in the window if you need to. (This is coming from a former natural light photographer [me].)
I tried that but there are a LOT of windows here. I was gonna do it in my craft room but was too lazy to go downstairs🤣🤣🤣

I like what you did with Zee's hat - taken the pattern and used it with different yarn weight or used the stitch to create the head warmer.... I do the same thing! I love taking a stitch or technique I learned from a pattern and then put my own twist on it.

I donated 10 crocheted blankets to our animal shelter in Kamloops B.C.. went back to visit and they said they couldn’t use them for the critters..reason was the animals would get caught up in it..well you can imagine how I felt..where did all my blankets go????
Yes, my animal shelter told me that they prefer blanket that are more solid.

Debbie, you are such a joy. It makes me happy when I see you put a video on. I make a cup of coffee, sit down & I feel like Im catching up with my friend. You say that others inspire you, but you always inspire me. I always want to try & make the beautiful things that you do. I'm not as talented, so I can't make everything but you make me want to try. I love that you make blankets for the cats & dogs, I do that too. My daughter is in veterinary medicine at a free roaming cat adoption/ sanctuary. If they are terminally ill or don't get adopted they live out there life there & aren't kept in cages unless recovering from surgery. My daughter does alot of spay/neuters for the ferrel cat catch & release program too so they use those little blankets for the cats to be kept snuggly warm when recovering from surgeries. They also put them out on the floors, shelves tables for the free roaming cats. I know your blankets are used & appreciated by those fur babies in your town too. Plus it's great for left over yarn since the cats don't care if the colors match or not. Thanks for sharing your projects. I really want to try that woven blanket you showed. Add it to the list, my ever growing list. Take care friend. 😉🩷

I bow down to your daughter!!! I don't think I could work in a field where there was so much suffering and most being caused by other humans. I wish there was more I could do for these creatures that bring some of us such joy in our lives
@@CanadianCrocheter it's tough, I don't know how she does it either. She tries to save everyone of them she can & has to make those hard decisions on ultimately what is the most compassionate answer for the animal. She would never work for a k*ll shelter. She definitely has some heart breaking stories. I actually had a doctor one time that previously was a veterinarian. He went back to school to be a people doctor because he said he couldn't take seeing the awful things people did to animals. It makes my heart happy to make these little animal blankets & glad to know you do too! Take care Debbie, I'll see you in your next video. 🤗🐱🐶
On my end looks good. Baby blanket to me has sunny yellow, minty light blue, peachy pink, dark lavender, baby pink and white...
I am glad you are seeing a truer representation because on my end the colours appear much darker on camera
@CanadianCrocheter Could it be the light in the room was bright enough that on camera made thing darker. I notice that sometimes depending on light sometimes things look different when looking through camera or looking at a screen or monitor. Possible? 🤔...👍👍😊

I hope you do. But keep in mind that I didn't make it as big as she made hers. She provides the multiple and I just made mine about 34" wide
Daisy Farm Crafts has some beautiful projects also. She has a gingham afghan I want to do. Haha on yarn buying, I was making 2 scrap afghans to get rid of my yarn stash ends and bits,, and I bought yarn twice to "Quoty fingers " color coordinate. Roll my eyes!!!!

Hi Debbie, that woven blanket looks amazing. I haven't tried a linen stitch blanket before but I might have to give it a go, looks awesome. I am going to be sorting out my yarn soon, thanks for the great idea for projects with my single balls.
The linen stitch is also called the moss stitch.
you can do it in the round/square like I did or in a row but if you do it with every row/round being a different colour, it will produce more ends to weave in
Hi Debbie, always great to see what you've come up with! Love the blankets as well as the hat and headband. Shelters have such a need for those blankets. We adopted a pair of cats this week ("bonded buddies" as they are called) and they both came home with crocheted blankets. It helps with the transition because it has the scent of the shelter. So thank you for doing that! I'm making a scrap blanket from Jayda in Stitches. Have you done hers before? I've done five of them and it's a great way to use up yarn since it uses two colors at once. And they are so thick and warm. I digress,, thanks for all you are doing!

That baby blanket is beautiful! Love your linen stitch projects. Last year I made a linen stitch throw for my dad. I took all my varigated blues, did stripes changing skeins every row. It turned out so pretty.

Beautiful makes! I am crocheting a linen stitch shawl right now trying to use us some very busy yarn. It's pretty yarn, just very busy and I have frogged three or four projects because the yarn just didn't work with the stitches.
But I bet its working great in a shawl!!

The headband is actually the hat pattern from Zeldanrj3 and I left a link to it in the drop down menu. I just made the hat until my ears were covered and then stopped
