Another Fact: The man that approaches you after clearing the Ocean Spider House and offers to buy it off of you, is the same man on the center of the festival platform in South Clock Town staring up at the moon (he's a carpenters apprentice, and wearing a green shirt). After you clear the Spider House, he won't be seen in Clock Town anymore, but instead will remain in the Spider House bunker, shaking and crying in the corner because he is scared to die.
If you clear the Spider House very early on day 1, he'll say something different on each day he spends in the Spider House. Something like "3 days until the moon falls" then "Just 2 days..." and then "only a few hours left" or something like that.
As a kid I always assumed he was just a random guy that appeared in the Spider House after you clear it, but only recently noticed that its the same guy from Clock Town. If you clear the Spider House and use cheats/hacks to reverse time, he won't reappear in Clock Town even on day 1. The devs made sure he wouldn't appear in two places at once.
I love learning new things about stuff I loved as a kid, that's really interesting

I'm sure the fire and candles being out is to make the town appear more dreary and lifeless, a really unwelcome, cold feeling.
Them light gave the impression people were home. Unlit seems like people are gone.
It gives that horrifying feeling of abandonment, the town is dead and you will be too

I always had the impression that some folks knew that an 11th hour would happen and there was a chance they could go home so they extinguished the fires so the house wouldn't burn down from all the shaking.
Some things about the Igos Du Ikana fight
1-using the bremen mask makes the two soldiers march
2-wearing the captains hat causes a unique cutscene with Igos
3-(found this out last week) the light that shines in the room moves to different locations depending on the time of day
3 is a really, really nice touch. I didn't know that either.
@@smcco27 I always fought him during the day so I was surprised last week when I explored the room at night and the light was on the opposite side. Did an experiment and found out that at 6am/pm the light is in the center and slowly moves to one side of the room

The stars have been navigation tools for sailors for a long time, it would make sense for those constellations to appear to the Hero of Time here. The Big Dipper and Cassiopeia also appear in Wind Waker in the sky as well as as islands including Orion also
Termina is also big on stargazing so having these recognisable constellations is a nice touch to the whole theme.
If you ever go back to Ocarina of Time things. Baby Dodongos eat bombs... and die because of that. Its something that not many people manage to see because there are no bomb flowers in the room where Baby Dodongos are and you dont have the bomb bag by that point.

If you go back in for the Gold Skulltulas as an adult, it's no issue.

My childhood question has now been solved after many years why I see rocks sticking out on the wall.
Through the years I always thought its relevant as a secret or something. Even thought “flipping Termina” like it happened in last temple would be connected to it.
But nope, now I finally know its a reference to constellation. Which is interesting, although somewhat irrelevant to Majora’s Mask. I dont understand much about astronomy but it is pretty cool how its referenced.
And the fact its apparently referenced to Na’vi as well.
well this is the game that has a randomly arranged night sky full of real constellations, and a huge observatory as a central part of it..
It was three constellations right? Then they are probably a reference to the three goddesses
1:20 I swear to remember that those were musical notes, if you played them in the order, they were they gave you miserable rupees. At least that's how I remember because I played the Mario RPG and learned basic musical notes, I applied the concept to Majoras and I remember that it gave me 20 rupees more or less.
Those are in a different part of the field. They music that appears there can be any.of the Ocarina of Time songs that didn't get reused.
I learned basic musical notes from OoT then took piano lessons for 8 years.
I was introduced to music in OoT and now I fingerbeat VGM on the bus window, college desk, friends' heads, etc

It's actually mentioned in the Nintendo Power Players Guide from when the game was first released.
The Song of Storms trick is likely a callback to the original game, where the flute did the same thing - it dispelled the Bubble's curse.
It makes sense, if there’s a shred of hope that the world won’t be destroyed, it’d suck to accidentally burn the town down

Seems like a trick question asking how many cow figurines there are in Clock Town when some of them are hidden from the player and the game expects the player to know where they all are.
They aren't completely hidden, but you will only notice looking from certain angles.

The last clip about objects changing depending on the day reminds me of the pots at the front entrance of the blacksmiths home at the mountain area. These flower pots are outside at day, but inside at night.
Also, bushes very subtly move their leaves, but only in outdoor areas.
Looigi Bros is the most professional and interesting TH-cam channel about Zelda easter eggs. I'm learning cool stuff about games I've played for 20+ years.
I have never even seen an actual Keaton in this game. Would have loved to try its quizzes. Also, song of storms removing curse is pretty useful, wish I knew that too.

In Dragon roost dungeon there are 2 cool things almost nobody knows:
1: behind the room in which you have to move square blocks to reveal an entrance, you can pull them out halfway and reveal a secret crouch tunnel behind it.
2: If you are outside of the dungeon, there is a part where you have to get a key out of a birds nest (lost the name, the small Helmarock thing)
Near the door is some sort of geiser spitting out hot air. If you lay a pot on it, it will show an unique animation, spinning and levitating the pot on hot air without breaking it.
Bonus 3: This is more known, but you can throw bait in front of rat holes to buy stuff and keep the rats away.
Never stop making these! (Unless you run out of material or want a break) I love your content!
I’ve been playing this game since around 2005, and I never knew that the Keaton mask actually did anything. Watched the literal first minute of this game and my whole worldview has changed

Keaton is such a cool character with really great music. I was scared out of my mind when I first discovered him.

fun fact, the name is supposed to be "Ki-tan" with -tan being a cutesy way of ending a name, especially for like a fun mascot character. The localizers evidently just whiffed on that, or they would have called him "Kitsunie" or "Foxy" or something.

Why do you need to be able to skip getting Epona to get the Adult's Wallet instead of the Giant's Wallet for clearing the Ocean Spider House on Day 1? Just don't use the bank until then.

Get the Zora Mask early, it will be a huge help in the Ice dungeon for reaching higher places

@@mirge666 right. That is OoT when they're little sprouts in child era. In MM it's a more convenient way to make them grow instead of carrying water in a bottle.
As an amateur astronomer, it makes me very happy to know that the developers behind some of the Zelda games sneak in astronomical references. Wind waker has quite a few.
During the fight with Majora, if you turn into Deku Link during Majora’s Wrath and let him lasso and throw you, you can land in the circular alcove where Majora’s Mask is at the start of the fight. Most of his attacks will be unable to hit you.
That last one is kind of an odd conclusion to come to. I think the more likely explanation isn't that people are saving energy, but rather just subtle signs of people abandoning the town as the moon becomes an undeniable existential threat. In the evening of the third day Stock Pot Inn is completely empty (minus maybe the hand in the toilet, but I can't recall if he'll come out even on the third night) so no one's around to light or use the fire, and the only people in the mayor's office are those still debating about an evacuation order, so that room is completely unused by the people who normally use it.
I think the fireplaces and candles being unlit is more of a sign of the uncertainty of the townsfolk than anything. For 3 days they have argued and bickered back and forth over whether the world was going to end, but in the end no one is really sure. No one really knows what is going on at all. Will it really come crashing down? If they abandon and the inn burns down, what is left behind for them and their livelihood? I'm sure there's more to explore here with the residents of a seemingly parallel universe that are unaware of the conditions of their existence.

The extinguishing of the fires in Clock Town I always thought some of the townsfolk knew an 11th hour would happen so they lit out all the fires so they wouldn't return to a burnt down house if such a scenario did happen.
The way I see it, both fireplaces and candles need to be lit by someone. If everybody left in a rush, nobody took the time to light them, hence, everything is off.

A long time ago during my 2nd playthrough, i was waiting for the Alien quest to start in Romani ranch. i looked up at the sky and noticed a red star.. then i realized my favorite constellation was just there in the sky and i was like.. wow, thats fucking cool

one I just found out on a replay. the stone mask: the gerudo pirates won't arrest you and throw you out while wearing it but I noticed when walking by them they slowly turn around and just stare at you. like when you see someone in a weird outfit on the sidewalk and you think to yourself "what the hell is that?"
Fun fact: the big dipper is referenced in the ancient symbol known as the swastika. It shows the rotation of the big dipper in the sky through the seasons.

The best I can assume for the constellations is that they reference stellar navigation. The big dipper at the northern part makes sense since the North Star is part of that constellation
Cassiopeia is somewhat like Navi since Navi *is* kinda presumptuous, and sheleft “to the skies” at the end of oot
I think the tale associated with The Cassiopeia Constellation is supposed to reflect how The Skull Kid was exiled to the heavens (or Hyrule, depending on how you look at it) by The Four Giants, similar to how the the vain queen was banished to the sky by her own Gods.
Yooo. The consolation thing feels related to overarching Zelda lore themes. Like Skyward Sword and BotW:2 .
If the devs have favorite IRL lore from stories and media- like mythology; I feel like it will always have a slight influence or inspiration on some aspects of the games they make.
that smoke thing is brilliant.. how does one even see that.. I've sat around staring at stuff in this game a whole lot. that early roof-blow thing sounds SUPER useful, since that part is really tedious and easy to screw up
I wonder if the reason the Cassiopeia constellation is used is a reference to Skull Kid. The lore states that after causing trouble for Termina, the Giants (gods) banished the imp back to the heavens, just like Cassiopeia according to this video. Don't know why the other constellations might be in the game though...
Guays will try to attack you underwater even in Ocarina of Time. They'll even go as deep as the Water Temple's entrance just to peck at Link.
The smoke thing may not seem too interesting but just the fact Nintendo took the time to put physics like that into this game especially since it’s not something you’d likely notice at all is incredible.
If I remember correctly the "Cassiopeia constellation rocks" its just a chart for a song you have to play there in order for a cave to open or something like that

Funnily enough the star wasn’t named Navi until astronaut Virgil Ivan Grissom nicknamed the star Navi by spelling his middle name backwards. Which is also interesting considering the star is a navigation point and Navi is short for “navigation.” Plus, Navi is the reason why Link left Hyrule at the beginning of Majora’s Mask but without his bright star Navi to navigate him, he seems to be lost.....

I remember there is a glitch in Majora's Mask where u can go to a 4th day that involves a Telescope in the observatory, some people posted it but would be nice to see how it works by you and to see ur attempts 🙂
You have to wait for the very last seconds of the final night while seeing from the telescope and when that dark circle starts to cover the whole screen before the game over cutscene you have to quit the telescope and then boom! Dawn of a new day!

For the first, the red rupee appears if you destroy all the grass, it doesn't have to be a spin attack.

Do they summon Keaton if you hack in the mask early?
Do the rock constellations align with the direction they are in the skybox? It could be the devs way of making a weird compass. I know that there actually is a big dipper in-game, are the rest there?

MM is still my favorite Zelda Game !
I think they only consider it "rushed" because of how quickly it was developed, but since they use OoT's engine, it really didn't need a long development time to begin with, and they did one hell of a job cramming that much into an N64 game- definitely put it (at the time) on par with Dreamcast's PSO I.
@@jackson5116 Pretty much ! it just used the same engine, even the models are tweaked slightly and uses few different textures.
But this game always felt much bigger then OoT. This game require the expansion pack after all.
Fun Fact! If you talk to Cremia right before the world ends, she reveals that she's getting her 9-year-old sister drunk for the first time in her life so that her senses will be dulled and she won't have to experience the full terror of the apocalypse! What a fun game!

I always thought the first rocks that you say “resemble the constellation” was actually the prelude of light. Look at the rock placements then look at the time measure for the prelude of light
The lore behind Cassiopeiae feels similar to the story of how the goddess hylia took her people to the sky in skyward sword.
