I remember one time I was standing on a log. I was looking around a seen this leaf and thinking how beautiful it was. And I hopped off the log and walked closer to pick it up. And I started crying yes crying. It was most beautiful perfect arrowhead I had ever found.
I can't tell you how many leaves have gotten my heart pumping while searching

That leaf got me good too! Leafs, clam shells, shale, and clear plastic wrappers fool me all the time. That great big triangle at 3:00 was awesome! Great video as always, ditchwalker!

Mine too...you will find all colors here in Northeastern Mississippi.,but the predominate color is red and all hues of red. It really marbles up and the colors pop when heat treated....thanks for commenting

Man, I'm glad you found a new spot and that last spot is the trouble I am having..the trenches are 3 to 4 foot deep with water and sand. Hope to get on them soon. Looking forward to seeing what yall find next time. Good luck and God Bless yall....

Awesome finds and great job recording them! The last small point you found at the end is the same length as the one i found at the Ross Barnett spillway, the one i found is ovoid with a notched base though. Can't wait to see what the sifters reveal this summer, hopefully i remember my camera and get some more content for my channel too! Lol😂😂😂

One time I knew it was going to be a leaf and picked it up and was hard. At that point my brain didn't register it for about 30 seconds and it turned out to be an awesome arrowhead

That wind was killer sunday and monday wasnt it lol. That flash flood we got friday really did the ditches some good. We walked 7-8 miles in my main big creek monday and found 11 points. Hell of a day! Good luck to you from union county!
Yeah I didn't think k it was that much rain .,but I slept through a lot of it lol....it really wiped some stuff clean and knocked some things around....we better hurry.,they gonna silt quick

Yeah, I hate "leaferites" too. I have a tip bro, Titanium is the absolute best tip you can have on your poking / walking stick. I have a spare tip for another walking stick I turned on a lathe at home. 3 / 4" diameter sharpened to a pencil point. One I use has lasted over 20 years! I tried steel, aluminum, hardened steel, titanium is the ticket. Bought a fiberglass shovel, hoe or something, removed the implement, drilled a hole, inserted my tip, drilled through, hammered in roll pins, and BAM! Been through 8 states and still going strong! I would be honored to give you my spare tip.

I went down clear creek after the rain water had stop flowing so hard and about amile north of hwy 84 in Adams county i came upon a wash out There before my eye's was a spear point just laying there,as if someone had laid it there for me it must have been at least 11 inches long and was all white like pure snow. Later i would sell it for over $4.000

If the bow and arrow wasn’t brought to North America until 800 A.D., how did most of those arrowheads reach their target? Were they attached to the end of a stick or were they being flung through the air similar to the strap type weapon that David used against Goliath?
Most of what you see were used as knives....but before the bow and arrow.,atlatl throwing devices were used

The first thing you found is a concretion not a rolled around shark vertebrae. If you found a shark vertebrae it would be the first of its kind!!
No it's not..it is 100% shark vert....shark vertebra are found here in Mississippi and other states....and yes I know sharks do not have bones...these vertebra were fossilized by a process known as ossification of cartilage....see there now I taught you something today.

If I didn't know what I was talking about.,then I wouldn't put it on here and teach people what I didn't know to be true... I learned this years ago from the state anthropologist as well as my states geologist and curator of the state museum of natural history....imagine telling them they are wrong.

I'm pretty sure there are two points in the frame when you found the second point.
There's a lot of things in those creeks that look like points....especially looking through a camera...my vantage point is way better and my eyes are well trained
