    Yep. I'm a firm believer in the existence of ESP. Personal instances of others reading my thoughts, some really obscure that could only have been telepathic, and I doing the same with them. eg. My nephew on my sister's side said he had something really special he wanted to share with me. Before he got the words out I said "You're thinking of changing your surname to your mom's maiden name, same name as mine". He was so shocked I knew what he was about to tell me. So, yes, I'm a firm believer in ESP extra sensory perception, commonly known as Telepathy.

    There's no reason this couldn't be done with a cloud of nanobots in the audio-cortex--basically like having an internal phone line. Sure, it wouldn't be direct transfer of thought, but given the problem of decoding and re-encoding between brains, that's probably impractical if not impossible. But using the audio cortex, the encoding/decoding problem would be basically solved automatically, since for the most part everyone's audio cortex works the same way.

    Believe it or not, but I've communicated with my homie while we were on shrooms. On our way back home, I said something to him, and he responded. Though we verbally weren't saying anything, we suddenly looked at eachother and bursted out laughing in amazement. Although such an experience has never been felt by after that event, I'd say with certainty that our brains communicated and spoke.

    My perception professor considered ''normal speech'' telepathy. Considering that words mean nothing with out brain processing. The complex work that our brain performs in hearing and then decoding language (or coding and then controling production of speech), not to mention that with damage to centain brain areas that are dedicated to speech understanding or production resuts in inability to undrestand language or speak, for him this was enough to classify it as brain to brain communication.

    Telepathy does exist. Animals way to commuicate is by telepathy. Most humans forget how to use it since it's not accepted by our society, they end up not using it and soon forgeting how to use it. That is also why children "can speak to animals," they have not learned that it is not accepted by the society.

    This video was made in 2014... now in 2016 or after(soon to be 2017), can we have ultra small neuro-connectors and transmitter devices so that this could actually work? It would be via computer sure, but with a ultra small one, or even a single chip embed into your brain wouldn't that be just as good?

    every persons brain is organized differently. even if people have access to ongoing processes of other persons brains, they wont be able to understand them. its better to use device also to synchronize two brains so that both brains could interpret information similarly. i think port on the neck like in Matrix, is where future is going

      I understand what you saying... but...anyone that would agree to that for a quick evolution would be insane. I wouldnt agree to it...It could easily do irreparable damage from sources within and outside of the human experience. I think ...given natural time and practice...learning how to connect on different levels with others without using a Tect Interpreter, we could far outreach our own expectations without putting ourselves in jeopardy while doing so. Just my humble opinion. Im not trying to be an a.s..le. :D

    • @alexb3617
      @alexb3617 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      there would be some disadvantages of course. it wont be natural and we wont know whether its right or wrong. whether evolution would have taken that route naturally. maybe there is such thing as being in too much connection

    • @alexb3617
      @alexb3617 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      no 2 brains function similarly. brain is not a computer that has dedicated hard drive to store memory. neurons form networks of connections with each other and that is how memory is stored. and everyone creates different networks of connections so they cant recognize each other, even if they are physically connected

    As a schizophrenic who somewhat believes in telepathy, this would be disastrous for people who can't control their minds. They would let their secrets out simply because they don't want to let them out. They'll think about what secrets they're keeping and merely that would be a message in itself. People like me were never meant to be telepaths, and it's best to stay that way. Take it from someone who experiences 'telepathy' at a nauseating level. You don't want your mind unlocked for anybody to hear or feel.

    Well, I wanna share a weird experience that I had
    I'm pretty curious about LSD trips,so in my 4th trip I was having this great visuals, so I wanted to call a close friend to tell him about them
    So I got my phone and called him through Whatsapp, and I could hear like I was near him, and he was talking to the taxi guy, cuz he was paying and getting off the taxi (I thought that he answered, and I was waiting to get off the taxi to talk to me properly, but no)
    I stop hearing "the call" so I looked at my phone and he didn't answered any call at all
    I was like meh, prolly I'm having pretty crazy hallucinations and ignored that
    at the end of the night, I sent him a text asking about what was he doing when I called him, and he replied... getting of the taxi!!
    Hope BrainCraft read this, huge fan of your videos :D

    The question isn't "What would I say?" the question is "Would other people understand what I mean?"
    The difference is huge. Poets and writers have spend ages "researching" translating words into emotion, and some have had great success, but the question remains... Will other people really understand out thoughts? It is hard to say, unless we are able to submit our entire life experiences.

    Well, in this case, telepathy exists already. We use our muscles to vibrate air at specific frequencies and have two receivers on the sides of our heads that detect these vibrations. Also there is a "code" (language) that is used to communicate words. Words can be put into sentences to communicate "wirelessly" from brain to brain (using our senses). The "telepathy" just replaced our own, natural means of communication by artificial means. No big deal yet. However if we get real implants, wired to our brains that we could also power by our own metabolism, such implants might be used for "real" telepathy (based on radio waves for example)... But there still would remain the last barier - it is our individual brain that actually makes sense of any communicated message, be it spoken and heared, written and read or transmitted by any other way....

    • @IssaMe

      The overall change this could bring across society over all would change the entire floor. We simply wouldn't think that way anymore or there would be something else at play to maintain order. In a way it would lend us a type of freedom that would put us above/beyond most our current patterns.
      For example this is not actually just about thinking a message. It can be used for anything visual, thoughts, feelings, etc.
      In a sense your boss would at the same time be able to equally feel your feelings about him; but as in your shoes not as in eh, I get your point. This is what I mean by there is more at play that would change the basic yet understandable point you had.
      Imagine what happens when no one can lie anymore; at least in devious manners. If a bad guy wants to know if your telling the truth or not there are already a ton of modern methods.
      Even Google has put in a patent for a tattoo that is used with your phone to talk in a room full of people but only your voice is heard; at the same time it changes color showing if you're telling the truth or not.

    My brain isn't a nice place to be in... I adapted and can block out most of the things going on in there, but when it has reached it's peak, it's hard to concentrate on a topic for more than one minute without pouring out and adding more topics of close related words and pictures... oh dear... don't let me start thinking about pictures... I can imagine me zooming out of the earth and seeing a model of the sun... our solar system in my imagination is incomplete and I want to keep it that way... I can even literally see myself trough other peoples eye and try and figure out what they are thinking (my foretelling doesn't always work though XDDD)! I have a very big imagination, I have been training it since I was a kid (daydreaming and stuff like that). Even now I just thought of a new story line for one of my fictional characters... that I must note down!!!

    I don't think telepathy or ESP is possible. If it were it wouldn't be rare or weak, it would be as, if not more powerful and common as sight.
    Sight grants such a huge advantage that is has evolved at least 5 independent lines. Even just an ability to tell light from dark gives an organism a large survival advantage. Nearly every multi-celled organism can see at least a little. Even animals that live where the sun doesn't shine (bottom of the ocean, in caves) not only have eyes that work, but they light up their own body to find mates or food.
    Animals have evolved ways to at least partly defeat vision through camouflage, or advertise their inedibility through bright colors (some even falsely advertise this!
    Now think of the advantage an animal would have if they could read the minds of animals that are hunting them! Predators account for vision, smell and hearing when hunting, approaching quietly, down wind and from behind, moving slowly in stealth mode, getting as close as possible to the target. Yet no one has ever seen behavior consistent with any animal having the ability outside normal senses of detecting a predator, not even when the predator is focusing nearly all of it's attention on the target.
    If telepathy were possible, we'd all have it.

    This 'brain-to-brain' communication is 'telepathy' in much the same way as you reading this message is telepathy. I have a thought, it goes through a computer, and is communicated to your brain. That's not what anyone means by 'telepathy' - which, for the avoidance of doubt, does not exist.

    I think strange thoughts. While I think telepathy is possible I don't think it's probable because it's quantum in nature and completely uncontrollable.
    However, with the help of technology it may eventually become a reality. There will be a lot of trail, error and danger in the process, but when/if it actually happens, I think words will evolve out and more subtle communication will eventually take its place.

    I wrote a script yesterday that checks my inbox at five minute intervals and uses text-to-speech functions to report the results. I say all this because at 2:52 you ask, "What would you say?" and at 2:53 my computer replied audibly with "All email messages have been red." The misspelling is intentional, because text-to-speech functions always pronounce "read" as "reed." Truthfully, this is a much simpler hurdle than communicating complete thoughts, though. If the brain could be trained to think in terms of commands, identities, and letters... such as "message" "mother" "good morning", or "get" "weather" "local" -- in essence make it a command-line -- I think faster progress is possible.
    But then what if your spouse and parent have a lot in common... what if they have the same name... mis-sent messages could be potentially humiliating? Would a PKI infrastructure be necessary to avoid hacking a broadcasted thought? Would it be subject to man-in-the-middle attacks? What if a feeling of terror is transmitted... could a person be prone to being crippled emotionally without any tangible reason?

      An interesting concept and a problem for a future time, but if we can communicate through telepathy, why use words at all? Words can be messy, and the meaning of those words, spoken or written are often misinterpreted. Most people don't solely think in words and sentences anyway. They also think in images and patterns. If we could communicate through telepathy, we could communicate through intention. We could do away with the need for interpreted meaning and finally actually 'say' what we mean.
      Also, the security concerns would be troubling. The problem I see is that unlike computers that can choose whether or not to be connected to a network and send out data, the brain would have no such switch. Imagine there was a sort of 'packet sniffer' for thoughts. It could be set up to catch any unintentional thought that may flit across the victim's mind. All the attacker would have to do is say a few priming statements, maybe about their own email and needing to log in, and capture login information from a seemingly harmless conversation.

    It will and can be used for much better things then just simple communication of ideas/words. But actually emotions, feelings, etc.
    You could for example rather then putting a bully in the corner feed him the same pattern as his victim. All kinds of things are coming. Japan in 5 years will be able to make a HD video of your thoughts and dreams.
    Its kinda of funny you know; the avg person in public has no idea how far ahead things are in labs. (And will only get faster) This comes with all kinds of NEW ways of life and bad ones.
    I don't think many will consider these things :bad: in the future though. People will just "be"/live differently all together.
    Its brain to brain and Synthetic telepathy btw; the goal being to communicate thoughts, feelings, etc through the cloud. Or to even Surf the Cloud with your mind. Again crazy stuff and not 50 years away. This isnt even considering actualy genetic or synthetic enhancments to the brain itself; which will go to another lvl. (Omniprecsens in a sense available RT all the time for every huiman.)

      Tamby theGiant Human minds aren't as streamlined and goal oriented as language. Have you never thought of something else while doing an relevant task or were reminded of something you forgot while having a conversation.
      The communication would need a very complicated BS filter so to speak.

    I was fascinated by the science, be disgusted by the animal experimentation. We only have the right to do that insofar as that they cannot stop us from doing it to them, no more then a child could stop you from doing it to them. The measure of a human is how they treat those who they have power over. If you want to test the things you would do on animals, than do it on humans first. At least they can consent.

    • @KalishKovacs
      @KalishKovacs 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Additionally, like many forms of media, this was presented in a soft and easy manner so that the people watching it would not be exposed to the reality of animal testing. Presentation of media and wilful ignorance.

    • @singularitybound
      @singularitybound 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kalish Kovacs
      On the same token all this progress that has a blood trail will no longer have one. In the end it will be this path that actually prevents testing this way. They are already for instance working to print/grow organs and cells of humans to directly test on instead. Which is 1000x more useful then harming an animal for it.
      Another example is livestock... when they start growing/printing meats and it becomes the majority method these animals will become almost extinct if not extinct. Its a double sided blade; suffering vs existence. Of coarse the length of time of that transition depends on progress of technology globally (meaning no more 3rd world at some point; replaced by something else; status etc.) Which IS going to happen. Some major explosion coming and most will allow all 3rd world places to leap frog.
      I agree with you though; there are millions of scientist that would rather experiment (not will all things; because to dangerous or unsure.) on humans. And Humans that are willing to do so in the name of progress. Its a shame...
      For example the whole stem cell thing... While were fought over its entrance form (babies/eggs.) other countries did not follow our rules. And not only are 10x further then us but turned out to be one of the holy grails of science. Which now because of that path protects its original source forever. Even not finding so many variations, etc.

  • @cm374787

    We already communicate brain-to-brain, this is a question of medium. We use words, actions, telephones, email and social media etc to communicate what our brains are thinking to the brains of others. Telepathy achieved...ages ago.
