Thank you Tim for the history of 88th Pennsylvania regiment. And the placing this monument. From 1st of July. 💯👍

Thank you for all of your videos. I’d appreciate a video of the 155th Pennsylvania Volunteers at Gettysburg. My friends forefathers fought at Gettysburg with this regiment

I was at the McPherson barn Sept 11 and saw the initials two of the PA 143rd volunteers carved in the stone along with the date. Sept 12, 1889. Guess they hung around a few days after the 11th. These initials were not discovered until 2004 for 115 years. Can we do the 143rd?

Tim if you could do a monuments Monday on the 155th Pennsylvania when little round top opens back up It would be much appreciated. My 3rd Great Uncle William P Ketchum was there on the 2nd and 3rd day of the battle.

Tim, absolutely love Monument Monday. When your camera person sets up the shot have them stand 15 feet away until you’re done speaking. Thanks

Oh wow! That was me who suggested the 88th PA for Monuments Monday. Hopefully the folks in the comments section here can help identify the many figures depicted in the monument.

Very much enjoying these Monument Monday videos. Thanks so much, Tim and the ACHS. You are always such a wealth of information, and I look forward to each Gettysburg-related video you do. Great job, and please keep 'em coming.

Terrific job, especially on the forward marker’s actual history. I knew none of this. Thanks!

There are plenty of reasons NOT to like Monday's (in general) --- BUT THIS is one reason to LOVE Monday's! Thanks again Tim and ACHS!
PS One thing that might make these videos even cooler and help us folks a long way from the battlefield gain perspective is if you could figure a way to do a map overlay with the placement of the monument being highlighted in the video? Maybe? I personally would find this extremely helpful.

Awesome. Had the privilege of seeing those Monuments this past August. Had no idea the significance of these monuments. Thanks for the history lesson.

One of my 3rd great grandfathers who fought in the Civil War fought in Co H of the PA 88th. He was given a medical discharge on Feb 1863, or else he would have been at Gettysburg.

Greatly appreciate all the details in this video, especially the position information. In process of reading the July 1st book by Martin, the combo of that book and this video really is enlightening. 😊
