playing this game as an 8 year old back in the day was pretty horrific. Especially during the Berlin section of the campaign, seeing a destroyed city with enemies encroaching everywhere and desperate soldiers fighting for their lives. All the grey and carnage just melded together to a haunting mess. The Reznov mission still kinda haunts me to this day. It easily has the chilliest vibes out of all of them. Anyone here notice there is not a damn thing said about how bad this game is bc it isn’t it’s perfect best game I’ve ever played from soundtrack to gameplay.
Here’s one negative complaint for you then: veteran in this game is literally the worst made difficulty level in any call of duty game. I’m convinced it was designed specifically for co op, I’ve played every other cod on veteran (yes I do mean every one I’m pretty sure I’ve only missed like 2 out of the whole series and the ones that didn’t have it I played on the equivalent for) and the only one I ever had trouble with was black ops and I still managed to do it, this game I got halfway through and gave up because I thought I was gonna have a stroke. That Japanese level with the caves is the most ridiculous difficulty spike I’ve ever seen in a game ever, especially given how unreasonably buggy the event triggering is. You’re basically forced to just try and move just far enough ahead that it triggers the next event (reinforcements usually) just so they have something else to shoot at but for that level there’s so many triggers you need to hit and a ton of them don’t work when you really need them and are super finicky, like the flamethrower tank especially. The checkpoints are also atrociously bad. You don’t really notice on hardened but on veteran moving like 10 feet without dying is an accomplishment so you really notice when a checkpoint is bad. Especially the final Russian mission, the checkpoints there were some of the only ones I really noticed were awful on hardened so I don’t even want to try and imagine what it would be like on veteran. Also the grenade spam. F*** the grenade spam. I’m pretty sure everyone agrees on that though. The definition of cheap difficulty.
@Aveteran Player I understand your thought. The waiting helicopter arrive part in the Chernobyl level is insanely difficult. If you wanna survive in veteran, you either have good aiming skill or utilise trick like me. And we don't talk about Mile High Club. But they are like minor inconvenience in veteran difficulty. It really should have stopped after Black Ops 2 in my opinion. Then the MW Trilogy would be complete and the Black Ops Trilogy too. They could have made something entirely different and left CoD with a legacy but nope. Yes these old games have a legacy but it would be better if fans said something like "Remember that awesome game CoD back in the day" rather than constantly arguing over which one was better than the new ones.
They could have made BO3 better if they saw what made the previous games so great. It’s a shame to see how the developers went blind after BO2 and only saw the money lying at their doorstep.
@@destroyer_fletcher7415 I'm not sure if this is true but I remember reading something that said Treyarch originally wanted to do a new WWII game unrelated to the Black Ops story but Activision wouldn't fund it and wanted BO3 instead.

Bold claim
Eviction and heart of the Reich (I think) would like to have a word with you
Hard to think this was in the same franchise as games such as Ghosts, AW, IW, B03, B04, and WWII
+Alex H if that is true then that’s on Activision’s shoulders for B03 being absolute dogwater lol
@@destroyer_fletcher7415 Agreed, though admittedly BO3 wasn't all bad in my opinion, it's easily my second favourite version of Zombies (After BO1) but of course BO4 came and messed that up too. I know people would argue against me but in my opinion, BO4 Zombies isn't canon!
5:50 , Best part
the 15 dislikes are the German soldiers that I lit on fire with my tank mounted flamethrower
Bruh Germany really got they ass beat in three years after ‘41 and Stalingrad 😂😂
This game is completely different from MW,MW2 and WaW2 as well... The guns they added in this game were unique and quite hard to master... no wonder people dont rememeber this CoD, it did take skill to use the weapond and stuff, until people found out mp40 with silence and extra bullet dmg(EMG) and that you could almost keep dogs all the time up if u were good enough (dominion especially).
this was the cod where, coff coff, I dont wanna say "I" but "I" was the 1st one to use the [iNuB] tag (I was playing too many hrs for a teenager).
In this cod they introduced double exp periods and many (me included) abused it, even when it was off the game was on.
The [RaNk] tag!!!!
3:43 - 3:53 best part 👍👍👍
WaW2?
@@imasheep590 sorry meant black ops
@@lucabernardini3975 ah no worries
Remasterrrrr nowwww
This game had such a climate that you could cut it with the knife.
List of WW2 Soviet flame tanks

OT 34/85 (E)
KV8
world at war really did perfectly capture the horror of the war, they avoided but one area, the civilian horrors, ww2 really showed that the germans were brutal oppressors who were out to hunt specific ethicities, while the soviets later just about committed horrors to everything they could get their hands on, be it surrendered soldiers, women, children, if it was on the other side, it was free hunting sport
You did a great job with these mixes YOLO! Definitely listen to them on a regular basis as it helps with school. WAW was the last and best WWII COD.
We should spread the word!!
🇺🇲 God bless the United States American soldier's from California, Georgia, Puerto Rico, Texas, Mississippi, Boston, Florida, NYC, Utal, New Jersey, Washington & more Private first class American soldiers!!! this is good song i like it
Very Warcraft inspired. This song sounds like what marching into a war must feel like. The instruments almost sound anxious.
Uraaaaaa
The Latin lyrics are powerful.
This is the only game i would play forever
Patriotism is off the scale!
oooough. Still send shudder down my spine.
best mission ever made in COD
All ghillied up still the best for me
For WaW, maybe Downfall
When you Research the KV2 in War Thunder 😂
lol
Actually tho 😂
bitch this is cod territory
The KV2 sucks, it's only good at a support/sniper, KV-1s are better overall
I can’t believe someone thought it was a good idea
Beautiful.
It felt so weird clearing out all the tanks on this level, almost like your missing one more target
2020?
2021
2024 even
Maybe besides of a couple of titles *coughs Bo3 campaign* I think Treyarch made some of the best COD campaigns out there

@@hx20games77 Yes, but for me it rewinds all of WW2 in that part for just 15 seconds... incredible feeling. You feel the glory and the horrors of WW2.. by listening it!
