I just changed mine last week. When it goes bad there is back air flow comes into your red glad hand. This valve fails to keep the air pressure in the trailer air tank.
If it is leaking remove the bottom exhaust port nut, keep the washer, add a nickel and reinstall the nut. You won't be have parking and emergency brakes on your trailer but you will be able to move. Repair asap
One of the tips during winter or very cold climates under 32 is to never set the brakes on your trailer. Otherwise, you might wake up to frozen brakes or worse roll with one frozen trailer brake and not realize it. If you suspect some of your brakes are frozen, use a white marker to mark all your tires, then move forward a few feet and stop and look to make sure every tire rolled.
Appreciate the help had same issue with my trailer got it fixed
