- Neil Diamond- Brooklyn Roads (Rare Digitally Remastered Video Clip from July 1968)
"Brooklyn Roads" was Neil Diamond's first single for MCA records. The song introduced an epic, storytelling, orchestrated sound that Diamond would become known for.
He's a National Treasure ♥️👍🎼🇺🇸. Have ♥️ him since the 60's. Breaks my heart he's ill. My love, prayers and best wishes to him and his family. Thanks for a lifetime of great music and memories, Neil.♥️♥️♥️
His first years were the absolute best ones. In every song you can hear (and see on his face) that the meaning of his song is honest and that his feelings are true. Solitary man, Shilo, Holly Holy, Brooklyn Roads, I am, I said and the wonderful Morningside.
Такая трогательная песня и голос и подача , она у меня в голове целый день , потрясающая песня
Люблю тебя Нейл❤
HE IS SO BEAUTIFUL AND SINGS SO BEAUTIFULLLY , MY GOD...
I love Neil Diamond so much. Brooklyn Roads brings tears to my eyes. Neil had a good childhood with lots of good memories. I know his parents were so proud of him. Not to mention his beautiful eyes and handsome face.
A son of Brooklyn makes me proud Neil is a treasure
Absolutely fantastic. Neil Diamond is the greatest performer who brings tears to my eyes with his sincerity. I listen to him every day as I am in a lot of pain and have been for over 42 years and his songs help me to cope.
Esra cancion es maravillosa me rrae recuerdos de esos años 70....Neil Diamond un tremendo artista inolvidable, gracias
Jaime
His voice is so soothing. I never get tired of it. It makes me see my one love and our life of 53 years. He’s been gone for eight years now and your music brings back memories that will always be in my heart. Each song just gets better as I listen to your silver lined voice. I’m 83 and my memories take me back to our early years❣️
This is amazing… how lucky are we to have Neil Diamond in our lives! ❤
Oh my goodness, have not heard this song in many years!!! I hear and feel the meaning behind the music.
Heart is thumping , as per usual when I hear his voice!!! Thank you Neil Diamond for sharing your amazing talents with us

@@rowanparmiter7622 Yes, so true. Like all of Neil's song's, they are the "greatest bunch".
Along with every other song that Neil Diamond sings, this one, “Brooklyn Roads “ never gets old and can be left on continuous play.
This is probably my favorite song of Neil Diamond's! It's a true from the heart song. Autobiographic. Heartfelt. My eyes always get wet when I listen to it!
Perhaps the greatest troubadour of all modern history.

I didn't grow up in 1940's Brooklyn like Neil Diamond did, but this song still speaks to me, especially since the death of my older brother just a year ago.
I miss Brooklyn. It will always be the happy old world to me. Im 56 now. Living in the new world of Florida 🌴 😉
Than you Neil for decades of great music.
Always a favorite of Neil's songs.
My cousin and I used to listen to this song!!!
This song never fails to bring on tears in my eyes. This video is absolutely the best, no other can take its place. That modest home in it feels so full of love and memories. So nostalgic, so wonderful.
Yes, the pictures it paints are ones a lot of us can identity with, no matter where you are
@@utubesigninsuxIt’s a life that doesn’t exist anymore.
Thanks for sharing our gorgeous singer songwriter. Wonderful personal song.
The Jewish Elvis. Growing up in Brooklyn , this song always brings back vivid memories of growing up in Brooklyn from the 60's and 70's. Neil Diamond one of the best. Got to see him at Madison Square Garden. Fantastic show. Brooklyn's own Neil Diamond..

Absolutely brilliant, the song and an incredible Neil Diamond. I love all of his earlier work . He had such talent then and gave so much of himself.
one of my favourite songs during school days.
An iconic early song 🎶 from Neil. Hearttaking 💕🎼🎸🎵🎻
Never been to Brooklyn, but I remember looking out another window at other roads and really feeling this song. I can't go back to my roads, though - the building was demolished.
What eyes has Neil???!!!!Angel's voice and eyes❤❤❤❤
Wonderful💎❤️
Super ✌️🎧🙏
Amazing cinematic storytelling in a Grammy nominated song and an incredibly rare video. Unfortunately there is very little footage of Neil Diamond in what was his most successful period in the late sixties and early seventies.
which is a crying shame. he far surpassed anything the beatls or elvis did(and I was a huge fan of the beatles when i was much younger) back then my musical tastes were often guided by whatever my friends liked or discovered. The only time Neil was mentioned in our group was the time he wrote songs for the monkees. and we didn't like that because it represented cookie cutter corporate bubble gum pop. little did we realize MOST bands in the 60s were using the same formula. All we knew was the monkees were the only ones trying to break out of it... yeah we were bigger fans of those goofballs than the beatles or rolling stones etc.. and any time i did hear a Neil Diamond song on the radio it felt waaaaaay too intimate for me! And it was because I was too ignorant to understand what it meant to actually write from the heart. bands like the beatles were making up songs from newspaper headlines. Neil was actually far more substantial and introspective.
most people lack the capacity and talent to do that.
I only recently found an appreciation for Neil's music. and i am sad over the lack of content. BUT i am thankful that he's still around, still doing what he loves and that so many people all over the world are loving it too. He's really living up to his name.
Thank you youtube..best video and song of ND love ❤️ this ❤️

I Neil sure could write some cool songs, it's like you're there with him growing up... interesting early Music Video, they must have used this theme a million times in the 80's for MTV
My brother and me!!!

Oh Neil is such a great story teller. I too use to worry about showing my report card to my parents!!! Lol.
Brooklyn born . Erasmus hall a memory that I didn't know. But I knew somethings.
This applies to Texas, Too!!!
yep, so brooklyn for sure!
I had Lead Poisoning, so I was slower than my cousin!!!
wow, sorry
This was me, not Larry Hilliard!!!
For me it's Lower Bridge Road... for my husband it's Naranja. Our teachers sent home identical report cards. "Smart but lazy"
Lazy??? You have no clue how hard, fast and long a creative mind works!!! It's an engine that never shuts off. And being told to apply yourself to subjects that literally don't matter is the worst kind of torture.
Hell, i still like to ride off with dragons and kings. I dont need an excuse.
Percussive effect caused by banging guitar strings with his hands fashing it.
Powerful song, but it looks a bit later than July 1968?
To be he wasn’t born in the Bronx
My middle name is Neil, went to the same HS Lincoln, lived in the same neighborhood Brighton Beach.
