Good video. I have a 2006 Shadow Aero and I just did the bleed/refill last Sunday. I did buy a simple 1 way valve and tubing for about $12 so I didn't have to do the open/squeeze/close steps. Once I put the hose on the nipple I opened the nipple valve, filled up the reservoir, pumped till it was almost empty and repeated that step 3 times, then I topped off the reservoir, closed the nipple valve and reassembled. No spongy brake and even a 70 year old can do it without killing himself. On my model the caliper is on the left side of the wheel, so it really made it easier. Another tip is I always replace the rubber seal, since that's always in contact with the brake fluid it's the most likely to exhibit degradation. They're best bought from Honda but genuine parts can be sourced on Ebay or whever you find them. Thanks for the video !

great informative video! I was wondering if you also needed to bleed the rear brakes as well, or does the front handle the fluid for the entire bike?

@@sethchua9757 No need to do the rear brakes it is a drum system and there is no fluid. Front brake is the only one with DOT 4. Have a great day.

Why use Dot 4 when it absorbs more water? I've always uses Dot 3 for that reason. Thanks for the video by the way.

DOT 4 is recomended for this bike. I have to agree with you DOT 3 is better. Thank you.

DOT4 is recommended due to its higher boil rate. It's in your manual.

I'd change the diaphragm to be on the safe side.
      It's cheap enough.
