    Recently came across your page. Quick question if you don’t mind taking time to answer. I just bought 12 acres of land. I need to clear off about 2-3 for a homesite. On this property is big mature red and white oaks. Instead of piling the logs up and burning them or trying to sell them for very little profit. I’ve considered buying a log splitter to cut up firewood to sell out of the branches and a sawmill to cut slabs, custom orders, dimensional oak to sell. Would you recommend this? Don’t wanna try to do it full time. Just wanna make a side business to use my oaks instead of trashing them. Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

    You can't compare the size of a log by Brittany's height. Brittany is short

    Put a five gallon bucket where the sawdust comes out then you don't have to shovel

    • @wallacefarmandsawmill
      @wallacefarmandsawmill  ปีที่แล้ว

      You swap a shovel for a bucket. That thing has to be dumped ever 3-5 cuts.

    G'day WFS, when I get a log that's to heavy for my loader I'll drive over the bumps in the paddock and pull the raise lever back just as I roll over the top of the bump the load bounces and you can gain a some height, don't tell the dealer though 👍.

    Because your yard is so muddy I highly recommend that you order a debarker for your sawmill, your blades will last much longer.

    Why did he want it cut like that? I would have finished both sides instead of 1 but i guess he has a use for it.

      Struck a chord with me, have a little BX that have to wrangle the little logs that go onto the LX25; was oddly familiar to see your huge tractor have to do the same with that monster of an oak. Thanks!@@wallacefarmandsawmill
