Wake up, have a cup of coffee, learn reading music, learn English, go for a straight 1h walk (I hate running), eat oatmeals 😁 and start to learn/work. My brain wants to be used in the (early) morning. I try to do my sports in the afternoon, if my brain needs to rest. ☺️
Hi Hannah, I can appreciate how you're feeling about your ankle. I'm not in a Ballet Co but I take classes weekly along with Zumba dances. This past week my left leg & foot became extremely inflamed with cellulitis & I was admitted into a hospital for IV treatment. I was there for a week & felt I would never get out! There was lots of fiery pain but what I felt the most, was not being with the people I dance with. Thanks be to God, I'm free again, dancing with my friends now. Thank you so much for your videos, they are truly inspirational!
🙃 Thank you, Hannah, for your heartfelt, genuine story. I am going to show your video to my postgraduate students in my module on "Healthcare of the Performing Artist." Appreciate you, and best wishes for continued success!
The last minute of the video I was crying, qhen you are very distance for ypur family your support and your life, is veru difficult because whena your are sad always your family be there but when you live alone is very very diffuclt and your body express this emotion so Hannah love all the little things whatch happen in your life and remember your family always be there and your fans always be there❤❤
Wow Anna thank you so much for this video! I remember I asked you to make a video on this subject. I'm so glad you touch on these issues on your channel as well! Hope you are feeling well and a speedy recovery❤️
Hannah I hope you recover quickly!! Acupuncture helped me perform in a recital on a Sunday that I twisted on a Monday! Also Would love an updated bun tutorial in one of your vlogs if you don’t mind :)🙃
I’m so sorry you were injured! I hope it gets better soon! A few weeks ago I inflamed my SI joint right before my senior recital, so I couldn’t go full out for most of my rehearsals. It got a lot better for the shows, and I was able to go full out without any pain at the last one, but it was very difficult mentally to think about maybe not being able to perform. I’ll be praying that you get better! 🙃
🙃 sorry you had to deal with an injury Hannah, but glad you are on the road to recovery! I love that you're worried about taking 3 days off (I definitely relate) - I know that's a while for us dancers but it's still funny 😅 I think a lot of dancers are workaholics lol
Just signed up to your dad’s online Bible school. Feeling so lucky that such content is available for free ! 🙏 really excited to start the courses during the summer 😊
🙃Oh girl! I used to be a pro dancer and I’ve just stumbled across your channel looking for some flexibility help. I’m much too old these days for pointe or classes but I have been weight and strength training for many years post ballet days which helped me recover from an almost lifelong ankle injury. recently I’ve just missed my mobility, flexibility and grace so here I am in my mid 30’s teaching my body the ropes again. I’ve found your channel so inspiring not because I want to dance professionally again at my age haha. 😅 but because I truly honour and admire the dedication and mental fortitude it takes to be a dancer 🩰 many parts of my identity as a business woman, a leader, a partner, lover, sister and friend were forged through classical ballet. I honestly just wanted to say, it’s ok to have an injury. It’s ok to have off times. It’s ok to allow your body to heal. It’s ok to feel struggle and pain. And it’s ok to wanna beat yourself up over it too 🫠🙃 allow yourself that time to breathe, recuperate and try to remember that you are actually perfect just as you are, funny ankle. Injury, tired, sore… all of it. In any form you come. I know as an artist it’s easy to judge yourself. But look back and see just how far you’ve come. Thank you for being so vulnerable. It’s truly inspiring and so appreciated ❤
🙃 So perfect!! I have been waiting for this video!! Thanks a lot!! For me, massaging helps in the case of soreness but for inflammations, it just makes it worse. However, my ankle injury was a bad sprain so it was definitely something else :D And also, as you said, by listening to your body you can feel what it needs and everyone is a bit different. Pilates have been saving my life while off from dance for two months and have my first dance class today!!! So the timing was perfect!! Amazing content as usual!!!🙏💚😺🐾💮🐞
Thank you so much for your advice! I have just been trying my hardest to manage my workload and give myself as much rest as possible between my rehearsals (which has been tough for me 😂🙈)
Hii Hannah! I'm so glad you had to take off only 3 days. I had to stop training(back then i only did rg) for 6 MONTHS. That was the worst thing in my life. And now, stupid me injured myself again:D Yeyyy happiness(this is sarcastic btw) My first injury was a knee injury that lasted for around 9 to 10 months and my hip injury is now living with me for around 3 to 4 months... Sending you all the love, health and happiness i can😊❤
Injuries are so tough and frustrating! But I am certainly learning a lot from it and my body is certainly appreciating the rest. I think I needed it 🙈🙏🏻
You had me in tears at the end. Beautiful, authentic video. I pray you get better soon. P.S. I am also totally one to sit at my window wondering about suspicious activity I hear in my neighborhood. X-D
@@HannahMartinRG Or just watch the clouds! From my house we don't have a beautiful view or something but every night around 22.30 to 22.45 we have such beautiful clouds! Around that time the whole sky colours pink, yellow, bit of blue and the clouds look as if they are straight from a fable!
Hi, congrats for your "coming back". I watched a lot of your videos the last days. Can you tell me, how many hours do you train in a day? With and without stretching and rehearsals? How many hours are you doing sports in a day? It looks like 8 to 10 hours a day from morning stretching over the Crosstrainer and the training alone in the company. It's amazing! And: is it normal and is it good (two questions), to train intensity (intensely?) in your holidays/rest days/days your company gives you free?
Training very much varies in a day especially since I’ve been injured but I like to keep a 3-4 hours of activity a day but recently rehearsals have been spanning for more like 8 hours a day for the last few weeks 🙈 the intensity does vary for sure. I would say take opportunity to rest when you can. I used to train a lot in my holidays but now I take every moment I have to recover and let my body recuperate for when I am back at work. If you have a long break I would say to try and keep maintaining. A ballet class a day with a bit of cross trainer usually keeps me going on a longer break x
@@HannahMartinRG I have to take a break for 3 weaks atleast because of an injury and im not even allowed to stretch or do even something like pilates... i feel like wheb i go back im litteraly going to be a piece of wood that cannot even bend the slightest bit🤣😭 So i will have to work my way up from scratch again...
I know this was posted like, a year ago, but where is your slightly longer ballet skirt (3:30 ish) from? I've recently returned to dance as an adult and can't say I'm a fan of the teeny tiny skirts anymore! 😅
It’s funny that you chose this emoji 🙃, Hannah. Sometimes you need to be upside-down in order to think/see straight - God’s kingdom is the upside-down Kingdom that’s really right side up. So I often use this emoji to symbolize that. Kingdom thinking. 🙃🙃🙃🙃 Kingdom thinking! Sorry about your injury. May you feel the deep comfort of the Holy Spirit as you recover and even more as you miss your Dad. God understands your heart. Praying for you right now, Hannah!💙🙃💙🤗
So, you got a left handed mug! Just kidding. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Injuries tell you to slow down and you are listening. Please wish your father a happy father's day. I lost mine when my first baby was born and it's been difficult. Cherish your family while you still can.
