When I was in middle school our new (male) high school principal introduced a PE uniform in school colors: a blue shirt and white shorts. Where previously only a handful of girls would sit out on PE because of their periods, suddenly almost all girls did. So the principal and our (male) PE teacher decided that periods were no longer a valid excuse. An 11-year old had her first period on a PE day, her parents started a campaign against the principal and the principal quickly switched the colors of shirt and shorts and reallowed periods as an excuse.

      Dude
I been suddenly rendered into diamond coated granite because of the sheer unfair sexiness of counting acoustical tile holes.
      Yeh
They don't think it be like it do, but it do.
Somehow its like the teachers sadistically knew ya got the random sausage smuggling going on, thusly your choice is cuss teacher out and get back to principal for suspension and just skip the thing or establish dominance and maintain eye contact, disregard social norms get hardons and solve math problems up front.
I dont miss the Bam! Hardon! Days in any way at all.
I find it baffling the teachers almost all trying to power trip on kids cuz they weren't popular in high school or whatever. Poor kids are psychotically aroused and they could be having their fingernails removed with an angle grinder.......

My High School banned Soda and most sweets even diet soda which is sugar free from being sold on campus to promote healthy eating on my Junior year of High School. Which meant that the Cafeteria, Student Store, School Vendors, and Vending Machines could not sell any Soda, Candy, large Hot Cocoa, Donuts, Muffins/ETC. So that whole year it seemingly worked. However during my senior year it completely unraveled and everyone including me and my friends would just bring it from home or buy the sweets and Sodas at the Drugstore or the Gas Stations that are right in front of campus. And unhealthy eating was happening even more than ever.

Afterwards you weren’t allowed to grab more then 1 thing from the options line (forgot what it was called but there was always a special, chicken and fries if you didn’t want the main cafeteria meal). Needless to say a lot of us ignored the only 1 before reentering the line thing. I even remember a teacher saying that I’m only meant to grab 1 and just responding with “I’m paying for it aren’t I? So why would I waste time waiting in line a second time”. Got a small lecture for being rude but they couldn’t say anything about me being wrong.

At my warehouse job upper management tried to say that we don't get a second food break on a 12 hour shift, and nearly had the entire labour board come down on their heads, because the laws are a minimum 30 minute break for every 5 consecutive hours of work. They tried to say that cigarette breaks make up the second 30 minute break, but the law also states the 30 minutes cannot be broken up into shorter breaks. They didn't dare try to take away the cigarette breaks, though, because everyone would have walked out, even the non smokers.
Like my gosh, if I'm there for half a day, I'm gonna need half a day's worth of food, jerks. 30 minutes is barely enough time to eat as is.

My school banned videogames on the school’s devices.
Now, the reasoning was that kids were playing games on their ipads during the time of schoolwork, now let me mind you my school had made some overall pretty bad decisions over the past years, for example removing the shade on the playground and cafeteria and changing the classroom’s overall design, but not during vacations, but overnight. But just a few months before the banning the school said it was mandatory to bring ipads to the school and most of our parents didnt have the money to buy those devices at the time, so they made us bring our personal ipads to class, the few who had money to buy another device struggled with the downloading process of the programs the school offered as they couldnt find them because they were not familiar with them.
Fast forward to March 20th, the school announced a new rule would be implemented in the auditorium at 10:00AM, most of us didnt think much of it. We were all brung to the auditorium and apparently because 5th grade (which at the time was a bit lower than my grade) was playing on their ipads during worktime. This made me comment to my best friend who was sitting next to me “fuck its gonna be some weird shit with the devices they’re gonna implement isnt it”
well, long story short. We needed to *UNINSTALL* all of our games that we had on our devices, yes ALL of the games, now the reasoning was that this way the school wouldn’t have this problem again since no more kid playing games in class if there is no games. I froze, and started thinking to myself “what, im sorry what? They are expecting us to do that? hell no” then they announced that wednesday (two days from now) the systems staff would be going through our files and applications through the internet connection and whoever had any trace of a game on their device suspended for 1 week and a half and subtracted 2 points for 5 months, meaning a maximum of around 8.15 for those who had straight 10s all year long and were caught.
This was serious, so i backed up my games on a usb and then while in recess told my friend to do the same, I was worried though, as the school did not take into account that some games did not save through the could or account systems when they were deleted and that some games required money to play and/or had ingame purchases.
The next day nobody in my class had games on their ipads, but, the classroom was way less active than before and I could swear it was kinda, dead inside.
In recess I decided to talk to a friend who was diagnosed with mild depression and had to take medications and he told me something that kinda saddened me up too. He was gaming as form of a coping method to his depression and it meant a lot to him as his family did not purchase him games too often, and was worried his family might not buy all of his stuff back and that he had actually been attached to a tamagotchi him for his 12th birthday and he really liked playing with it but now that he couldnt he would be kinda sad.
So then wednesday came but we were sent back to auditorium to mention who was suspended and blah blah, then at the end of the school day, I saw hundreds of parents going to direction and my dad was contacting his landlord over a possible sue to the school as he decided enough was enough and decided it was a possible property right violation and next day we found out a girl had come to a meeting with the head coordinator and told her that she had spent over 5k of her own money on that game and now it was all lost. Needless to say that rule did not last long and the school ended up getting sued by many parents.

When I was in 3rd and 4th grade, my school tried to ban talking during lunch and have us all listen to Mozart's Turkish March. Of course many children took it as an invite talk below the volume without getting caught, those nearby couldn't hear the music as well and asked teachers to turn it up, and the sneaky speakers just got louder.
It didn't last very long, but the song is now buried deep in the recesses of my memory. Good ol' Eisenhower Elementary.

Years ago a supervisor called me saying that they were short staffed in the geriatrics ward in the hospital.
The supervisor on shift was not my supervisor. He was an RN and my supervisor was the ward psychiatrist.
Tech’s work under the RNs, but Therapist’s work directly under the Dr.
I started working as a Tech, but after finishing my degree I was promoted to a Therapist.
Often times I would work alongside the Tech’s and do their jobs as well.
There were only 4 Therapists on my shift and I had specific duties that I had to do that Tech’s could not do.
Anyhow the charge nurse wanted me to be “pulled” to the other unit.
I told him that I was exempt from being pulled for over 5 years.
I told him that he needed to pull a Tech.
He didn’t want to hear it. I flat out told him NO, pull a Tech !
He got belligerent with me, so I hung up on him.
I called another Therapist to let him know that the RN was on a rampage and asked him if he would cover my intakes that shift for assessments and processing if we had any new patients coming in. (We had covered for each other before). I told him that I was going home.
He then asked if I had some extra whiskey for him after shift (we worked Swing shift and I always had extra whiskey).
Anyhow, the RN called back and demanded that I go to geriatrics. I happily said, No, you’ve given me a migraine and I’m going home.
He was livid then, bc now geriatrics was down a staff and now Central was down a Therapist.
I giggled on the way home and had a shot of JD waiting for my friend when he got to my house after shift.

I worked at Loomis Armored for four months and MAN was that place terrible. While I was there, they took the chairs away from all commercial tellers as a productivity measure, including a pregnant worker because "she didn't have a doctor's note on file". The worker was gone by the next week along with half the department.
Loomis is a constant revolving door because they do not care about their workers and treat them like sweat shop slaves. Their model is: relax the rules when people start quitting, tighten them when you hire a new batch, repeat. Not even the lead tellers had been there for a year when I started..

Work was running two shifts a day by five days. To cut down on hours, management decided we would switch to four 10-hour shifts a week and schedule everyone to avoid overlap. First week of this, customers came in looking for specific employees who were the only ones who could do whatever task it was. A LOT of knowledge was known to exactly one person like that. Oops. Employee was off that day, a Friday, and would not be back until Tuesday as Monday was his off day for that week. The customer blew his top. Management went into panic mode and desperately called the guy who was off. He knew this would happen and made a point to not answer. By the time he came back Tuesday, they had scrapped the 10-hour plan. It lasted like two weeks. Complete disaster.

I got a couple from my days as a cartboy for a grocery store.
First, cartboys would stick together and chat while working, but we were so efficient that we had all carts in because we'd split the load since only 1 row of carts was truly busy. Customer Service Manager got pissed, told cartboys are now to stick to left or right of the entrance, no talking whatsoever. Rule was removed after carts built up in the busy corral because that person went on break and I refused to do that side because I had gotten yelled at and got threatened with a write up when I covered the other side for a break literally the day before.
Second, Some carts would always be left over at the end of your shift or before your break because, obviously customers still leave after you're off the lot, eventually Customer Service decided nobody was allowed to go on break or go home until the lot was completely cleared and checked by a Customer Service Supervisor, even a single cart would cause you to have to stay. I quit shortly after this rule was introduced for a slightly less shitty grocery store, but heard from a former co-worker that the rule was removed after someone got fed up and reported them to the state labor board for denying legally required breaks and the store was fined for it

I would have taken our second car, if my brother and sister in law hadn't borrowed it because they needed to get a large piece of furniture. I had to wait for an hour before police showed up and the owner about 5 minutes later, while police were considering what to do about the car. I was more than an hour late for my shift and had to report a couple of days later to one of my two managers, who also happens to by my dad.
He said that it was my responsibility if another person parked in front of my driveway and I should have had the foresight to park my car along the street. This made this weird thing for me where the visible size is a lie half the time. (Cause bra stuffing and push-ups) You know what can’t lie? Hips and everything surrounding it… at least till the push-bra equivalent for a woman’s ass came out.

BRUH I'd totally forgotten about this. Early on or near the middle of middle school, we would occasionally get tickets for good behavior to be used in the student store, also if someone had an outburst and we behaved or didn't get involved, we also got tickets. Me always saving up like I've done with my personal money, and in about every game I played, saved probably a few hundred tickets I can't recall the exact amount.... but I think it was around or over a thousand, maybe 3 thousand or so. I would only bother buying stuff I would be using for awhile or occasionally something that was requested and allowed by the budget. It was me and another student who would generally save a good amount of tickets, eventually they had to limit the amount of items we could buy on Fridays or before brakes, as if I wanted to I could literally snatch up almost the entire stock of that current budget. (and I almost attempted to a few times) I think the amount of tickets we could save on hand, was also eventually limited to about 800 or so. There was also a fight between me and the previously mentioned student when we got Dragon Ball Z Budokai in stock for GameCube, I don't believe I was up first but regardless I ended up purchasing it, was surprised as 2 or 3 people went to pick out items that had over 500 tickets and could keep it for themselves, I still have the game now. My budgeting logic was simple; besides not buying things I knew I wouldn't want or be using, I mostly only ever used ⅓ or ⅔ of my total, sometimes only a few hundred or a dozen tickets, as I knew I could make the rest back, if not just save in spades. Sufficed to say, there were like 2 or 3 ticket mongrels in the class and it was pretty funny for almost 4-6 months.

I remember one teacher seemed to have several burrs up her butt about me well I use the term teacher loosely with her since at the time she was more of a staff member at the school and very much a helicopter parent but anyway I kept getting picked for not so random feeling drug tests at least every month for probably 3 months in a row at least and each time I never had enough drugs in my system to get kicked out of school or whatever else she had in mind. And I didn't like these drug tests because even though I was a girl I had a narrow pee thing (similar to Hank Hill from King of the Hill) so it was difficult for me to start the stream and well urinate. So peeing into a cup became a very time consuming process for me (and it still is too) and it felt like a waste (pun intended) of everyone's time to wait for me to pee no matter how badly I had to go. And I was taking prescribed meds a controlled substance for my ADD which showed up in the drug test as it should have but regardless of how high the dosage of that meds was it wasn't enough in my drug test to cause any problems. The teacher apparently got so angry or annoyed with this that (because I thought I had nothing to hide on my school medical records) demanded to see what my meds were and what they were for. I overheard this while I was sitting on the toilet so the teacher busted herself at least for me anyway. I shouted back to them that she could see my records and my list of meds if she wanted too because I had nothing to hide and it could give them something to do while they waited for me to pee. So I guess she looked at my files and stuff and actually tried to get her own kids who were in my grade on that ADD meds to or something like it. The most awkward part was when she asked me privately during my study hall class in the restrooms (she lead me there) if she could see for herself my narrow urethra because we were both women and she hadn't heard of a woman having one. So while she wore rubber gloves and the school nurse was also there both women I panted myself and they moved some hair and the skin and saw with their own eyes how narrow it was. Then they shared their findings with each other and added it to my files and I said that I was diagnosed with it pretty early in my life and I could see how easy it is to overlook and ignore. The nurse went on to say that it explained why I had gotten UTIs and kidney infections at least once or twice a year since the time I started going to that school. The teacher never did bother me for another drug test unless it was once a year and seemed to be able to convince some of the other adults at the school to give me a couple extra minutes whenever I asked to use the restroom which was pretty rare for me to do.

basically working with double-sided paper is hell no matter what the topic is, so as an employee of any company that did that I would be absolutely motivated to print out as much as possible so that they didn't cut corners on it, personal stuff in response to all complaints to the management of the fishing club with 143 members is printed out for each member individually and is of course done at work, and such cost-cutting measures are basically nonsense when all work-related resources are unlimited and employees make an effort to use as little of them as possible because that costs money. The moment the employer limits these resources, every employee thinks that everything I have done so far has obviously gone unnoticed and that management doesn't trust me, so all cost-cutting measures are stopped and all responsibility is handed over to management.

The girls had it worse as they never got to leave the classroom they were in since it was one of their faults this happened. Of course, they lied to our parents, saying it was an experiment to see if test scores improved.

I retired from the State of WA, USA.
The average person works 22 days per month and our lunch and break times add up to about an hour each day.
WA state decided that smoking was no longer allowed on state owned land, including private vehicles owned by staff members.
Therefore staff would be fined if caught smoking in their personal vehicles on their personal time.
The average car payment (at that time was $350 per month). So since staff could not smoke in their vehicles while on their own time while parked on state land, the state had to lease every staff members vehicles for 8 hours per day for 22 days a month.
After you figure in your car payment, insurance, registration, the state now owes each staff member about $15 per day per vehicle.
I then made up petitions for staff members to sign.
We had about 2K staff members , but I only worked 1 of 3 shifts.
I still managed to get over 1K signature’s.
It comes out to around $15 per working day per staff member.
I then presented everything to our Union, to our CEO as well as Olympia.
Within a week, Olympic saw the errors of their ways and staff members could once again smoke or do whatever they wanted to do in their personal vehicles on their personal time.
Everyone signed it. Smoker’s and non smokers alike.
After that CEO was fired the smoking band was lifted.
Sorry but anyone with a 1/2 a brain knows that a mentally ill patient will usually calm down after a cigarette.
But we are talking about our dim witted state legislature’s and our Idiot Inslee as our Governor.
