Does playing video back in the youtube app actually make it 720p? Because it's only listed as "HQ" which used to mean 480p, at least on youtube. I'm playing this back as well on my transformer and it looks pretty sharp but I guess I wanted a confirmation though it's stuttering a little. Playing back video in the browser at 720p doesn't seem to work though, far too choppy.
@ldemarti Taking video on my HD camcorder, which loads up .TOD files which I convert via (custom AVI) xvid 1440x1080 @ 30 FPS. Then upload to YT. Using a free converter called "Any Video Converter" as Handbrake has been giving me fits with .TOD files.
Honestly anything from the web such as "HD" youtube is not much of a test. The bestway to test playback is a native file on the device. I honestly haven't had time to rip anything 720 or 1080p and load it on the TF. Basically it will play them ok, but until Honeycomb is updated to allow the latest Flash to run hardware decoding it's not going to run perfectly smooth. I"m honestly amazed it does this well based on what it's working with. (non optimized Flash)
