- A short trailer showing some of the woodworking covered in my vimeo-on-demand project about making a Jennie Alexander style ladderback chair. All the work is done with hand tools and wood split from a log. It includes harvesting the inner bark of a hickory tree for the seat weaving. The video series is 8 1/2 hours available at vimeo.com/onde...
That shave horse is one of the smartest, simplest, most efficient designs I’ve seen out there.
I had a 1st edition I bought in the early 80s. It continues to change my life - knowing you can go into the woods, harvest wood and bark and make things. Incredibly empowering. Wonderful that you keep that flame alive-
I donated all my woodworking books to a school, where some person young or old will find it sand be turned on.
This is awesome
Funny how its look easy too make a chair :)

Peter, I met you a few years ago at Roy Underhill’s school while I was attending a class. I’m in Stockholm, Sweden now and met a woodworker today that said he and a friend of his will be meeting you soon to film something (?) woodworking related with him and his friend.
Hmm. Do any of these people have names? None of this rings a bell...
@@MrFollansbee didn’t get his name and probably wouldn’t be able to spell it if I did.
