    I've watched several videos on the RODECaster Video, and this was *by far* the best. It explained the features and settings in detail, so I have a much clearer picture about functionality. Thanks so much! I ordered one which will arrive on Monday.

    Great walkthrough Alec! You really took the time to prepare and demo it all. Although impressed by the RC Video being an amazing all in one solution for audio and video and the versatile switching options, I'm missing this train because of the 1080 only and because it's still (only) one video feed into the computer. I said this in another video comment --> I'd pay 2-3K for a 4 HDMI in in 4K video as well as 4 audio channels in - then 4 video feeds into the computer.. That's a dream 🙂

    Great informative video on this new piece of equipment! Been using the ATEM mini ISO pro and when I saw this, I was like, WHAT??!! This is going to make things a bit easier to do all the stuff that's not so user friendly on the ATEM. So you mention the stream deck......I'm assuming that the rodecaster video is able to be programmed with the stream deck? Is the rodecaster pro also able to be used with the steam deck?

    Great video and thanks for all the hard work in putting it together. The device looks very very complex (or is comprehensive the better word) but then again it has some great features that I have not seen on other devices, or at least not so easy to implement. Looks like it is not yet available in the UK, so time to save up. Thanks again.

    • @TakeOneTech
      @TakeOneTech  หลายเดือนก่อน

      You're right that it is very feature rich! Honestly I could have made it a 2 hour walk though video, as there is still more to cover but I'll do that in separate videos. The thing about it though is that although there are lots of features and functions, I just found it so easy and intuitive to use them all.

    Great showcase!. Thank you. For game streaming, does this product can replace OBS? can it stream at 2K 60FPS? Cheers!

    • @TakeOneTech
      @TakeOneTech  18 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It could potentially replace OBS, however is limited to 1080p. Whilst it is so much more intuitive and user friendly than any other hardware camera switcher I have tried you may find that it has some limitations compared to OBS. I use Ecamm Live for Mac (similar to OBS) and I will not be replacing Ecamm Live with the RødeCaster Video for the same reason.

    • @MrMuffinsTrains
      @MrMuffinsTrains หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well, had lots of conversations with Rode.... bottom line, you can hook an IPad or IPhone to the unit by utilizing an apple product to get HDMI out from the device and use one of the four HDMI ports.... you can''t use either of the USB C ports. You can, however, attach a webcam that utilizes an USB C cable to either of these ports.

  • @Mattias-Eriksson
    @Mattias-Eriksson หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    This is amazing! I will most likely get one. My only wish would be that the inputs were supporting up to 4K 60. But again, 1080 is sufficient for most scenarios. Thanks for a great overview!

    • @TakeOneTech
      @TakeOneTech  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm sure you're not alone in hoping for 4K 60. 30fps fine for regular videos, but I get that gamers in particular would want the 60fps. With more an more people watching TH-cam on TVs in their living room, the 4K would certainly be nice.
      I'd also like to see an HDMI pass though, so that those who want to capture a computer screen, or gamers wanting to capture game play could send the HDMI into one of the inputs to capture, but then set one of the A or B HDMI ports to output that feed to their monitor or screen, separate to the main program feed, preview feed or multi view that are the only current options for the HDMI A&B outputs.
      Still, one thing about it is that the CPU architecture does potentially allow for such feature upgrades in the future. 🤞

    Alec, great video!! thank you for it. Looks like an amazing combination of the hardware of ATEM and the easier-to-use software of Ecamm Live. Plus audio and more. Wish it had the option of 4k! But still great. Question: I know you've probably done a video on it, but how do you so effortlessly use your iPad to write on all of your screens? I know it has something to do with a greenscreen but you also know where to point the pencil! :) Thanks again!

    • @TakeOneTech
      @TakeOneTech  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Glad you liked the video! I use an app to draw on the screen called Video Pencil.... the great thing about it is that I actually see the output on the ipad, so I can see where I'm drawing without the guess work as used to be the case with Green Screen methods I used in the past. Here's my video tutorial on Video Pencil. th-cam.com/video/lUsVTFuwzL4/w-d-xo.html

    Awesome video Alec, I was literally thinking "I wonder if Alec covered this yet" and the algorithm popped this right into my feed! Is it possible to have 2 cameras with 2 different green screen keys going at once? I may not need Ecamm if this is capable of that. Also any update on the Keyboard Maestro course? Really excited for that! Hope all is well man 🙌

    Great video and it seems to be a pice of great hardware. There are two things, I am missing or you maybe did not mention it. 1) Is there an easy way to share screen content. Meaning building up a scene where I can include a defined software or maybe also an area of a screen, that is than mixed into the whole scene? 2) Is it possible to use the buttons to fade in / out audio sources to a predefined audio level? Meaning for example having 3 buttons to control an audio input to fade to 0, 50, 80% . And maybe as a third topic. Is it possible to use a stream deck to control the video Switcher? It also would be great to replace the buttons with “ stream deck buttons” to rename the buttons dynamically when selected scenes, overlays, … . Would be interesting to see, what is coming next …

    31:40 hey , thanks for your nice video! I am wondering if you would be kind enough to teach us of which technology are you using to draw as an overlay on top of your livestream? What's that, an iPad? And how did you manage to make it draw - as an overlay on top of your scene in OBS?

    Is it possible to link audio with USB-C between RodeCaster Pro2 and RodeCaster Video ??

    • @TakeOneTech
      @TakeOneTech  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, the rodecaster video has 5 USB ports and usb 4&5 are for connecting either web cams, Ride usb mics, or indeed a rodecaster pro 2 or Rodecaster duo.
      You’d plug usb 1or2 out of your Rodecaster pro into either usb 4 or 5 on the rodecaster video and that would take rodecaster pro audio in as a stereo feed. 😊

    Røde’s first video product, Streamer X, was an alpha product, didn’t work well with silicon Mac’s. So I’m very skeptical…

    • @TakeOneTech
      @TakeOneTech  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Indeed I know that there were a few issues for some with Streamer X when it was released. Given that it was their first video product, I'd imagine that a lot was learnt from it. That said, there is no getting away from the fact that this is still a gen1 product as it is so much more than the Streamer X, so you are certainly right to be cautious!
