The profile art cards look fine to me, the single-colour backgrounds and close-up head style is clean and poster-arty which is the sort of artwork i do personally, with a sludgy 90's funk. I find the classic style is fine, but keeping things confined to boxes is a little safe and some cards are worse off, depending on the colours and detail shrunk to fit and then being off-set by the colours of the cards border. I specifically bought a profile morophon the boundless for my sliver deck because the blue looks great and stands out amongst the generic-border cards. It gives them a prestige above the rest and in terms of layout and colour theory they're more aesthetic by tangible criteria i.e rule of thirds, heirarchy, clarity, complementary colours...
