In my opinion, The poor guy has a communication problem and that was why his GPA was under 3.0. I wonder how he passed TOEFL and got the US F1 visa with this level of English communication.

If you don't do something in your free time or as part of your job and your reaction to the subject is "meh", don't do your master in it. It also highlights the problem we have in India of following everyone into either Engineering or Medicine.
Make a video on Location vs Ranking preference for MS in US. Like you graduated from CSU Chico which is a good university but not with a good ranking, still u ended up getting a decent job. In India we have doubt whether to choose university with good ranking or university with good location having ample job opportunities based on our merit.

But either you will be dismissed or asked to join some prerequisite courses or ask to join community colleges
