Here you talking about your alternator is a good idea but I would run a second battery it will save on wire over heating and where a d rare on the alternator the more amps the more monie it cost to fix and repair if you ever noticed the 2 batteries on the electric plows on plow trucks just a thought for you to ponder on a cost to do things right ay now save big later when I. Hey Capt., your alternator is the same 40 amp alternator as the 855 and 955. When you get ready to replace it, contact a local alternator/starter shop and see if they can't just rebuild yours with a higher amp stator. I've stopped buying new alternators and have started rebuilding them myself which isn't too difficult.

    • @CaptainKleeman

Hi Mike. Pleased you received the oil wrenches, as I watched you time and again use the fan belt method and as an ex mechanic on All sizes of machines from CAT D9 to small ride on mowers as well as chainsaws thought something like what I used would not go amiss in your toolbox. Also useful on pipe fittings and water filtration units, so could be of help with the rentals you end up building. Hope to see you when I travel over from the UK and visit Farmer Chris as I also used to build those silos he has just had on his farm. My one bucket list journey left is driving the whole of Route 66 using as much of the original as there is that is accessible, when the travel and covid stuff allows. It also allows me to visit my ex para medic Buddies who married members of the American armed forces and all seem to live on or close to the route. Enjoy the tools and see how long it takes to break them lol.

Nice video Captain; good problem solving. As far as the audio, the volume was a little low (very peaceful audio) but I am hard of hearing (I was wearing earphones though).

Kleeman go to arms family homestead and watch his video ( Land plane and simple driveway repair.) be sure to watch it all so you can see the blades on his. D P may have some old cutting blades you could use also that would give you alot more weight you are wanting

Nice video, consider getting an insulated cover for the positive terminal of the battery, it doesn't take much for the tin work above the battery to get bent down and cause a short. as DP knows.
Use a resettable breaker on the anderson pig tail.

Nice work Mike! I know your getting the comments but you do need to address the motor mounts. The rubber flex between the flywheel and the drive shaft can't take that much movement and it will destroy it sooner than later. Glad you got that grill locked down! 😉

Another great video, retired ag mechanic here never worked on a small tractor like that but is it possible u have a broken motor mount, just seems like jumps around alot, I definitely could be wrong. Keep up the good work

The rear mount is definitely having issues. It's next on the list with the battery

Hey Mike, I've been watching your 755 videos. We just picked one up for my dad to help with his yard maintenance and make things easier for him at 76 years young. I'm curious, I know you like your 755, but with a lot of the type of work you use it for what are your thoughts on why you haven't gone up to an 855 or maybe even a 955? Other than price. The 755 we picked up wasn't treated the best unfortunately, but it was reflected in the price and we are working through it to fix the issues and clean it up a bit. My thoughts were not to go to crazy and try to find an 855 to upgrade my dad to in a year or so. I really like the size of these tractors for what my dad needs and I like the old school mechanics of it for ease of maintenance. I think it could be a good video topic if you could explain the benefits and limits of each level of the 55s. Why you decided to stay with the 755, if it's just the devil you know type of thing, availability or something else? Thanks for your content, there's unfortunately not a lot of thorough videos out there on real world use, upgrades and maintenance on these. Thanks from another Mike!
