I have been a fan of Amouage since the very first Amouage Gold Woman perfume in its amazing turkish black and gold atomizer (1983). I own bottles of Material, Lyric Woman, Jubilation XXV (Woman), Gold Woman, Dia Woman (in the original sterling silver bottle), Crimson Rocks, Bracken Woman, and Beloved Woman -- which is a masterpiece. I have 10ml decants of Guidance 46, Love Delight, and Lilac Love. I wore Dia for many years, and Bracken every spring (alternating with L'Artisan Voleur de Roses, an earthy patchouli bomb from 1993. The house of Amouage has matured over time from incredible masterfully blended complicated perfumes created by the most famous perfumers in history (e.g. Beloved Woman), to a more mainstream yet still exotic and unique array of creamy and memorable juice. Every one of these perfumes is a signature scent for someone. I am so glad to be in tne same living timeline as Amouage perfumes. They are an identity-- a sort of smell-track to my life, like Elton John and Aerosmith are part of the soundtrack to my life.
I own beloved too it’s my first amouage and truly can’t believe something so gorgeous exists and they discontinued it. I wanted Fate next but they discontinued that too. Ugh
Great description of your experience with the fragrances, thank you! I’m the one who loves and bought Love Delight for its drydown: that combo of vanilla, salty caramel and a hint of rum)))
I think you might like Ladies Sunshine (if you don’t mind a dry tobacco note.) I’ve worn it twice this week and I’m the happiest camper in my scent bubble 🫧
OMG!!! Perfect timing, Eloise. I just purchased Love Delight a few minutes ago and was on the fence about Love Tuberose. I own Dia 40 and it's a very sophisticated fragrance. Guidance was a VERY slow burn and now I can't live without it 😆
I’m enjoying your series very much, Eloise. Your expertise is refreshing and giving me new ideas of fragrances to try, like Journey. Thank you. I own and love Material and Guidance, and have been testing Overture which is unique for sure.
Eloise, thank you for sharing this collection. I, too, learned a lesson to give fragrances time on me to understand and enjoy them. I recently added Material and Overture to my collection as well, and I couldn’t be happier. Guidance was not a love for me at first, but I gave it a second chance after sitting on my shelf for five months. Now it’s a keeper! Looking forward to more of your videos! Thank you. 😊 ❤ Hugs, Sylvia.
Great video and it's great to get your opinion on this brand. I own Epic 56, Material, Overture, Journey, Lineage, Lilac Love, Memoir and Outlands. I love them all; they're complex, take you on a journey, and at the same time, they're classy. Thankfully, in the UK, I have Allbeauty, so I got them at great prices. I agree with your comments about Journey, and I have to overspray or top up. I wanted to do a deep dive and have literally just received Outlands and 9 samples most from the men's range; it's been such fun testing them
Hi Eloise, I love Amouage ❤ Wonderful reviews! Complex, unusual & statement makers.. I currently own Guidance, Journey, Sandal (attar) & had Memoir and Love Tuberose ❤
@@sanneparf you have great taste 😊 oh I really wanted to try Sandal or the Saffron one from the Attar collection. Did you sell the others or use them? Love Tuberose is ok but there are others that are just so much more beautiful 😍
Happy that I found you!I like your taste ,I don’t like very sweet fragrance ,I like something unusual and DIFERENT .I bought by your recommendation Iris Malikhan♥️😍just love it.Thank you.
I love Amouage & I own a few (Sunshine Woman, Memoir Woman, Portrayal Woman) and have tried a lot from Amouage - Guidance after testing on my skin numerous times was not for me & the same with Overture. Dia 40 is gorgeous to me I would love to have it.
Hello, Memoir to me is spicy, herbal, animatic & is truly one of the most unique perfumes I own. It’s not for every day. On skin I don’t smell florals as much as I smell spices like clove & cardamom & incense. This perfume is a vibe. It’s dark & moody & femme fatale. It’s for cold weather & you only need 2 sprays. I will never be without it. The mood here is dark and witchy. It’s not sexy, it’s a strong confident woman wearing this perfume. Not for girls. Portrayal to me is again, strong and confident but in a different way from Memoir - it’s a strong indolic Jasmine highlighted with a strong tobacco. Not tobacco leaf but rather a fresh, unlit cigarette. I’ve worn this one in the day. It’s a dressed up vibe, same as Memoir but one is for night and one for day or night. Hope this wasn’t too rambly. I strongly suggest you test them on your skin.
@@mirasscentbubble Portrayal is one that I almost ordered and I do keep going back to the idea of adding one to my collection. I will have to get my nose on that one! thank you so much for the input :)
Amouage and Tiziana Terenzi are 2 houses that I struggle with when it comes to finding fragrances that I love. There are some that I like but not enough to purchase full bottles. I keep revisiting them. Guidance and 46 have beautiful sillage but when I smell them directly on me they are just okay. Love Delight is probably my favorite but it’s very similar to PDM Cassilli. Reflection for Women is pretty but again not a love for me just a like. I’m very particular about buying full bottles and must be strong likes or loves.
@@deborahg427 I don’t blame you. Buying something you don’t love just results in a bottle of perfume that goes unused ! I want to enjoy what I purchase. I also haven’t been interested in a full bottle of Tiziana Terenzi. Nice when sampling but so far no full bottle.
Great video, both Amouage lines, men’s and women’s, are actually quite unisex. Both have some leaning more extreme obviously but they are all magnificent frags. I really like Overture Woman, I kind of want a bottle.
@@SeldomlyOften yes and I’m thinking of getting a bottle of Opus V because of the Iris (a favorite note of mine 😊). I watched some reviews including yours !
@ Opus V is beautiful, elegant and understated. Not your typical Amouage, I would sample first, not because it’s mid (it’s excellent) but because if you expect a huge frag you might be disappointed.
I own ten Amouage and each one is unique, Honour Woman, Dia, Portrayal Woman, Material, and Guidance are my top five but I enjoy all of them. I do have Overture Woman but have to be in a certain mood to wear it:))

@Eloisescents0309 I hope you will have the opportunity to check out others of the Amouage earlier creations ( From the Christopher Chong era) - Imitation, Memoir, Interlude, Figment etc.
Great video! I would suggest to try the original Día. It is my signature and gorgeous in its soft, evolving aldehydes combined with light dusting of florals and a gorgeous incense. I also have Chanel # 5 and they are both very different. Other Amouage loves include: Lineage, Material, Lilac Love, Sunshine Woman and Portrayal Women. I like the scent of Guidance but am sensitive to the Akigala wood note generally.
@ you’ll love it, though it took me several wears to fully appreciate but as you mentioned, discovery is the beauty of this hobby. Can’t wait to hear your review!
Oh both are great but so different from each other. Material is a newer fragrance and a much simpler note profile: its basically a wam vanilla amber fragrance and I love it because its not too sweet and is very warm. Overture is in a different category and represents more what Amouage is about (or use to be about). There is alot going on in there. Its a boozy fragrance that alot of men like, as well as women. Its complex for sure and its also different. So, if you want something basic and want a nice basic vanilla amber fragrance that is woody and warm, then Material is good but Material is "boring" when compared to Overture. If you wants something different then get Overture and if you are spending the money why not add something unique and interesting to your collection! That is my opinion. I hope this helps :)
