Just want to clarify that when you said you hear compression... there is no compression in this plugin. Absolutely none. It uses an adaptive transient shaper to increase the attack of the sound source. I say "adaptive" because it changes depending on the input, processing intensity and time. The harmonic processing also includes no compression. The plugin also utilises no EQ, unless you would classify the linear phase band split filters as EQ.
The processing is entirely unique which is why it's a difficult plugin to describe and it's best to try the free trial. I offer the free trial so that no one is misled.
I spent many months designing and building this plugin and was involved in every step. I would not simply make some 3-band compressor/soundgoodizer and sell it to my audience. That's just crazy.
However, I'm also really open to feedback. We have had great suggestions about making the band splits adjustable, changing the way the dry/wet mix works and making the 4x oversampling more obvious. I must say that I'm totally okay with people sharing their opinions and comments in videos but I am surprised that you didn't grab the free trial and instead tried to pick apart my video (in low resolution = low audio streaming quality) when showing it to your audience! TH-cam audio quality is not going to be very useful/critical when captured via a stream.

I agree. This trend of plugins where all the technical detail is hidden and you end up having no clue what it actually does is terrible... I understand simplifying things but anyone shady can use it as an excuse.

Damn, I really like In The Mix a lot, but I guess there just isn't any more original ideas when it comes to Plugins and VSTs producers can create. The last thing to surprise me was Chipsynth, and that's just because you can emulate Super NES files with that.

SplitEQ is a new approach to EQ, by splitting Transients and Tonals.
Big names have reviewed it and were totally shocked by what they were now able to achieve.
Demo the thing Weav... do a review. I watched the White Noise Studio dude cover this one. Sounded like they used Low Control a bit on the low end and I hear a slight bit of dynamics in the high stuff, but otherwise, ya, you can do this stuff with about anything. I think these things are designed for new producers - like the God Particle.
White noise studio videos are good. I kinda like that doesn't change the sound too much, as what Mastering usually does. But the master plan plugin looks better I think
Minor thing, but why does he refer to the fire buttons as "circuits"? Like, its a plug-in, so there are no circuits, and it doesn't look like it's emulating any kind of specific circuitry.
The thing that pushes this a little too far for me is him saying, please tag me on my socials if you use this, i.e. purchase this plug-in.
I don't know, just seems a little too pushy towards his audience to me, manipulative, some might even say.
Also, at this price point, I totally agree that auto-gain is not too much to ask for, as louder will always sound better to us.
Weaver u should make a $1 plugin. It should have a very modern UI and the plugin itself just has a big fancy volume knob and the plugin has auto gain match

Michael runs a helpful, informative channel with integrity. I see no reason to knock him for developing a plugin that might appeal to people looking for something simple. If you don't like the plugin, say why and don't buy it. But don't imply that his integrity is in question. Scheps's Parallel Particles and Greg Wells's Mixcentric are similarly simple and vague about what's under the hood. No one questions their integrity or professional acumen. 🧠

This comment. Sure the marketing seems shady af, but which plugin companies marketing isn’t at this point, it’s just varying levels of gross. BUT - BSA’s shit is excellent, and especially their clipper which you can push really hard without audible distortion. This won’t be for everyone, but if it gets you your envisaged and fits in your work flow, it’s worth it imo.

in the mx thought me a lot and I respect him, but this plugin is just soundgoodizer packaged as a new plugin and sold at a high price. It seems that these developers aren't even in the producer community but instead saw an opportunity to make money from the producer community, it sucks because the only people they are targeting are beginners whoa re still naive. I mean, I bought drip because the marketing got to me but now I got wise to the deception and act. He's okay. I think I'm subscribed to him. I complained about my headphones breaking once (it was relevant for the video), and to my surprise, he replied to me and suggested that I get them repaired over buying a new pair. I'm British though, so maybe I relate to his style of presentation easier.

5:40 , Transients shaper with saturation/ harmonic enhancer. Each knobs are similar to wet and dry so you can blend more transients into a mix that most of the dynamics are taken away during/after the mix. Transients add life back into the track; and if it is parallel processed with a group/track that lacks dynamics it can be a powerful tool. But there definitely are things out there that do similar things, this just adds like two-three in one plugin

I watch Inthemix channel and I think that it is hard to judge the plugin until you tried how it works. And of course, you too would sell a product, if you had a chance to develop it. But, I have to say that after watching the original video about the plugin, I didn't hear much difference in the mix that they were using after applying their development. Perhaps, they need to make another video for it. And, yes, I agree, I too don't like to see only nobs on my plugin. I prefer to know about it content a bit more. Have a clear picture which peaks it makes smoother

Blacksaltaudio is owned by Jordan Valeriote, and has released several plugins.
All of which are designed with newer mixers in mind and , from what I can tell, seem to be genuinely about making some steps easier for inexperienced Mixers. Obviously they want to make some money, but that's just the reality of business
Also In the Mix is one of the best Channels for mix tips.
I would be surprised if this plugin is useless, and would expect it at least to achieve decent results with some ease.
Why? well Black Salt Audio seem to be like that in general, also both Valeriote and the dude from the In the Mix Channel really don't seem like the screw everyone for money types. I actually doubt this is about gimmicks for either of them.
Just because a plugin is not new or overly innovative does not make it bad.

Valeriote has a credit list as long as my arm and In the Mix is very focused on low cost and useable tools for new mixers.

I kinda understand why there aren't frequency splits or more options because I feel it's designed to be "simple".
Heck for sure this plugin could be recreated using stock plugins and racks (or similar on other DAWS than Ableton), but there's nothing wrong with using this plugin
I haven't tried the demo but from what I've been hearing, it seems legit and usable, it's just not that one impressive plugin from 2023
