Featuring their new single Lovers' Leap and as well as Magnificent (She Says) - เพลง
Masterpiece of the great British composer John Barry.
Let us not forget, perhaps, one of the top-3 lyricist’s of the latter half of the 20th century - Hal David .
Guy 🥰
You did Diana proud. Utterly amazing
My husband and l had the Louis Armstrong version played at our wedding - in floods of tears listening to this as l approach the first anniversary of my husband’s death 💔
We had this at our wedding too, I also had it played at her funeral. Very good rendition. My heart goes out to you. My wife was also a yorkshirerose
@@Spike-rg3qd Bless you. It’s a lovely song, l’ve struggled to listen to it since he died, but this Elbow version reminded me how much we both loved it ❤️
We played the original at my Grandad’s funeral. The original is unmatchable, but to hear my favourite band play it feels like a wonderful tribute.
I hope you feel the same way.
My husband died 5 years ago. ❤ to you.
❤
What a fabulous woman Diana Rigg was, and her daughter Rachael is just as gorgeous and talented. Well sung Guy 👌
tears this morning when i pulled over to listen and tears again tonight, just fantastic, piece of class right there!
Just a seriously lovely rendition . The strings are delicious but he sang this to perfection. No strain in his voice whatsoever, fabulous tone and timing . I saw them perform before they made it and knew they deserved to go far . I love how he doesn't try to lose our accent . ❤❤❤❤❤
This is my all time favourite song so I am always apprehensive when someone covers it. I think we can safely say they aced it.
I love how Guy puts his mancunian twang on this beautiful song 😍
That's what I love about Guy, the Mancunian twang never deserts him. Northern and proud! As as a student I was told to only ever get a job up North because of my accent (why, oh why would I ever want to leave my homeland?!) Having a Lancashire accent has never ever held me back and I love my roots. Well done Elbow! x
One of the best bond songs with the most beautiful Bond girl ever. My first ever crush. I couldn’t believe the end of that film watching in the Granada cinema Mansfield in the 1960s. Stunning rendition, goose bumps.
This needs to be released . I need it on Spotify please . As a lass from Donny who saw you perform before you were famous, I make a special plea. PLEASE. ( AND why can't I get Dame Diana's ' Mother Love ' anywhere? It was FANTASTIC . RIP Our Dame, Diana Rigg
The strings are just gorgeous. The best Bond song by a million miles.
Had to stop my lorry to listen to this version, wow amazing
Just makes me😢just ❤ it
What a lovely cover version 😊
I listened to this version at 7.00am driving my bus it made me happy and emotional at same time in a euphoric way, just sensational.
I love this mans voice.
I would love an album of Elbow covers.
Wow wow wow Guys gone and done it again, this man could make the phone book sound good love it
Beautiful. These boys know how to take on a classic and make it their own. Stunning.
The is a man, where I work,in a coma who is a few years younger than me. I don't know him on a personal level but today I clean his room. I guess this one goes out to him
Play it for him on headphones . I was in a coma for 6 weeks and had multiple cardiac arrests and other things . I had a less than 1% chance of survival. I apparently survived by reacting to Josh Groban music
What a great track indeed, heavenly bliss fans, keep on singing along ❤🎉❤
this song is a miracle
Dad was a massive Louis Armstrong fan....I grew up listening to this and I love it. I also love this version from one of my favourite bands; I'd like to think Dad would've appreciated listening to this in a Northern accent! ( He was a northern poet and relished his roots) Well done Elbow! x
Useless but fun trivia: Guy Garvey's mother in law was Diana Rigg who played James Bond's wife Tracy. And of course this song is the theme song of Tracy's death.
i'll be goddamned. great trivia.
That's why he covered it.
He actually talks about this prior to playing, in the full interview :)
@@themicawbers6406 is the full interview avail? Link?
what a encyclopedia you are.
Shout out to the orchestra.....perfect
My heart has melted. I love this.
What a magnificent rendition of this classic and timeless love song by the great John Barry, Hal David and Louis Armstrong! Thanks and appreciation to Elbow and the backing orchestra. Moving and memorable, in every respect.
Elbow's cover made me cry so much, I think I need a new waterproof radio! 😄
It is a superb cover and the beauty and brilliance of elbow is the BBC orchestra are more prominent in the sound. Elbow =Magnificent
Absolutely beautiful
Can't be arsed to read all the comments but heard this live🎉 on Radio 2 while driving. Just in case you guy's didn't know...Guy is married to Rachel Stirling. Her mum was the stunning Diana Rigg. Had to pull over because of the emotional effect this cover had on me. Absolutely smashed it Guy. MAGNIFICENT ❤❤❤❤
Exactly the same thing happened to me. I suddenly realised the connection and that was it. I was in tears. Such a beautiful song
Lovely version. Elbow never ceases to amaze me.

This is a beautiful track! 🙂
A great rendition of a perfect song being featured twice in a Bond film👏
Outstanding work Elbow. The original is unmatchable (sorry!) but this is honestly extraordinary.

Jozef ❤we have all the time in the WORLD 🌎 FOREVER U AND ME
This is nice 🔥🤌🏻
A decent second to Terry Hall's immense rendition
#harp❤
The trumpet sounds like optimism
And we could bloody do with some of that right now
Good, but Louis Armstrong is a hard act to follow!
My thoughts exactly
@@mbp1505 Dad was a HUGE Louis Armstrong fan; grew up listening to him....but, I LOVE this version.x
Tidy job Guy. Never sing away from your roots. Also, no imitation - respect to you.
Not as good as Louis's version but still worthy.
seriously still have no meds jules and they r rede
I have to agree with the detractors here. Look - honestly the song is absolutely beautiful. But this is too too like the original and he doesn’t come anywhere near the great Louis A. Make it a different version or something, not just a copy which is not as good. Bloody good song though
This is unbearable, this bloke is so overrated it’s unbelievable😢
I agree, the vocals are awful. Band is amazing though
Have you been on the pipe mate. A truly stunning tribute to his late mother in law. 🖕
Dreadful dreary band murder classic
Absolutely rubbish
Don’t copy a Louis Armstrong song
Absolutely beautiful ❤
