    Fantastic fantasy stitching! Love the story it tells with the teapot house, mouse and fairy. Excellent! Thank you for sharing your ideas to encourage others to make pages with each prompt and then put it all together. Looking forward to seeing more of your beautiful work.

    Such a pretty and cohesive design, and excellent advice re the pages. It made me realise that is essentially how I have approached it, I am just stitching one frame at a time, that will link into the next part. I love how you have the other little path meandering off from the gate, making e wonder what is around that corner, just as we would encounter in a beautiful garden. 💖

      Thank you for your kind words Leanne! I think that’s the best way to approach this project and a little easier than stitching on a long roll. It is fun, isn’t it, to imagine what will be encountered along this garden path! 🥰

    Looking fantastic and glad you are enjoying it as much as I am. Love the idea for the little Peter rabbit scarecrow - I had been looking at some vintage Peter rabbit pictures and was thinking of incorporating some of them in a future prompt and there is one showing a scarecrow just like you have. Cheers, Christine

    Becca! You're imagination and artistic abilities are amazing ....... the Peter Rabbit scarecrow is wonderful and I love the lighter color fabric (the uderside) for the garden. I can't wait to see all your little veggies ...... God bless you and your eyes 😲 you're work on this piece is so darn tiny and I LOVE IT. 🥰 xo Warm hugs to you, we've been below zero up north 🥶🥶

      Thank you Barbie! I say the same about your work!! I LOVE Peter rabbit and all of Beatrix Potter’s artwork. She was such a talented artist. We think alike; I actually chose the lighter fabric for the veggie garden. It is a tiny little piece, but I’m enjoying it so much.
      Oh my goodness, it has been freezing here too! My son is a line hot stick foreman for National Grid and I was so worried about him in that cold! It’s supposed to get into the 40’s next week I think, so that will feel balmy after last week. Take care of yourself! xx

      @@NellieandRuthDesigns Thank you Barbie! I always worry when there’s a storm because I know he’ll be out restoring power to homes; but he loves his job, and that helps me a little….😅 It really has been a crazy winter. I love winter; I just don’t like the colds and flu that go with it.!🥰

    I love your piece and your artistry. I think the green 'flowers' would look great as a cauliflowers if you put some white french knots in the centre. Great idea to break down the challenge into page sections for people that are struggling. I'm doing pages to make up into a journal (like last time) with the path going from page to page. TFS

    I love it!!! I haven't gotten as far as you. I'm embroidering a patch of holly hocks and garden will be next but before I go farther I too am thinking I might want to do this as quilting squares cuz I have been wanting to make covers for a couple of sewing machines. Or since I am walking from the barn past the the hollyhocks and then house thru the rose arbors up the sidewalk with the garden on one side of me past the apple orchard and line of lilac bush, cherry trees and beautiful peonies. And since I'm recreating my childhood farm maybe I should do blocks and make a quilt of it rather than a long wall hanging.

    Becca your work is so beautiful. Thank you for inspiring me to start, I was a little stuck!
    May I ask, did you stitch your main fabric to a backing? ❤

    • @willowhilldesigns7
      @willowhilldesigns7  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Christine! I’m happy to hear you’ll be starting this project too! No, I didn’t attach a backing yet. I’ll attach one when we’re finished and that way it will hide all of my stitching on the back and give the roll a finished look. This also makes it very nice to stitch through just one layer! ❤️

      @christinedempsey4151 ปีที่แล้ว
