The music in the sign off announcement is the exact same as what was used at WSM-TV in Nashville. Unless the NFL telecast in question was an Oilers preseason game, This sign off was more likely than not in the overnight hours between Sunday and Monday (Fall 1980). Did the tape come with an exact date or what the matchup of the game in question that night was?
That rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner was used on other KPRC sign-offs even into the 1990's. Only the images have changed. As for the first slide after the Seal of Good Practice, that has to be from the 1960's as that stylized "2" looked different from what KPRC was using at the time.
1:22 I love the Mecom Fountain and all the Hermann Park shots in this! Literally my childhood every time we went to a museum and the zoo!

6 years later kprc used same sign off
The station was rebuilt recently
Great clip, but the AI upscaling is very distracting
It's certainly over processed, but better than the alternative.
Is that Doug Johnson?

It has a nice groove at night

It's from 1980 , prior to the clip, there is a message of faith, in this case, from a local Rabbi.
