- When it comes to preservation this version is not too special since it actually runs on the leaked Serv3 "Season 2" files.
However, looking deeper into this client is quite fun. This is the very first version of GunBound World Champion Season 2, which released on August of 2007. I was still playing in GunBound Classic at the time and I still remember it really well. I still have some videos of it up actually

These were recorded on the very first day these came out (Sept 6 2007), which is when "Part 2" released of Season 2. This client is the very first part, where only the interface was released and nothing else. Part 2 had the new maps and the new forces, and part 3 introduced the background music changes.
But even though nothing was officially released in v586, work in progress code is already found inside the .gme and Softnyx implemented toggles inside GunBound.ini where you can enable and disable them.

Putting them on 1 enables them. Enabling them is easy, but then you find out that all the graphics and sounds are completely missing. I have added them and after doing that you find out that the weathers are pretty much 100% working, and Powerball about 75% with additional bugs.
Overall this is one of my favourite WC clients because you can either make it be 100% Season 1 with "Season 2" interface, or you can make it have the new weathers. In-game F10 Buddy List perfectly works as well, so is a really nice client.
And yes, this client is based on GunBound Revolution. I keep have this argument with people, but if you have this client unpacked you can literally see "ijcoin.img" still referenced which was the image used for the ijji coin from GunBound Revolution!
