If I'm honest, this sketchbook tour made me feel really better about my art/art style because it's really similar to yours and I (personally) feel like we don't see much of these types of collage-like, "get something down even if idk what I'm doing" arts in sketchbook tours often. Idk but yeah, thank you so much for sharing this with us, you've inspired and motivated me to keep creating outside of the norm 😌❤️
I have heard that good art is a balance between having trauma to have an edge, something to exorcise and being able to be at peace enough to be productive. I have a schizoaffective disorder. I know people find me barely coherent when I'm in crisis and I do not really realise. I see that people are annoyed when I talk but not that I am in the middle of not finishing my sentences. Your art is wonderful.
Oh my! This gave me much more inspiration than any scketchbook video ever! Thank you so much for sharing this. As a hella depressed person, I could never imagine the better gift ❤
I love your sense of humor! Beautiful sketchbook and fun video, well done! I haven't put any clippings in my sketchbook before but this is really inspiring me to give it a shot.
Love this video ❤❤ as someone who also deals with mental illness it makes me feel so much better to look back on my really down stuff and not feel bad about it. Also I just love your vibe!!
Terra, thanks for taking the risk and being so truthful! We all have storms in our life. Thanks for encouraging me. Great, great sharing! Kevin --- Australia.
i just randomly got recommended this and wow… this is very inspiring! you are very talented. also im glad you’re doing better nobody deserves to feel bad :(( also imagine years from now historians find this and they are like “what does it mean?!?!?!” and its just “tigers gotta eat” or “pearls are in” or “why cant i finish my mac and cheese”
I just came across ur channel and ur such a breathe of fresh air girl.I loved that you showed everything doesn't have to be perfect , I struggle a lot with my art if it doesn't look perfect and this helped a lot in viewing it differently ,thank u!
That heart of random styles near the end is the best visual description of impossible psychedelic hyperspace impossible objects that I've seen Maybe that's not what you meant, but it is what it is and it is that.
my fave? your dream dog, even before you said it is but when you flipped the page.....and team Milk!!! I can finish a whole gallon casually in 2 1/2 days by myself
i was watching the video, and i realized that you are really underrated!! I watched this thinking you were a well-known artist, you are really talented- I love your art, its great that you're feeling better!
dude you're so talented and i loved the song recommendation... i think u have rlly good taste, maybe u made a video with media recommendations in general (movies, books, podcasts, artists, etc.)
this sketchbook tour has finally pushed me to pick my first one back up. so much collage. i love the fun unique ideas, the abstractions, I love all of it. you're a joy!!
There's something so comforting about this video. From the music in the background to the tone of your voice is amazing and I love it! I love how you use different mediums in your art and it definitely got me out of art block by watching this video. Thank you for making this! :)
I love the overall feel of this sketchbook if that makes sense! Thanks for sharing it, and especially going into detail about your process and stuff, it was really cool
This video is awesome, your editing and commentary style is really really fun. Also makes me want to add more text and whatnot to my own sketchbooks, not something I normally do
Thank you so much for this tour. Your sketchbook is awesome. So many amazing gesture drawings, cool art in different styles and materials, and your funny and unique way of adding collages. If I understood it correctly, you also used these collages as jumping off points or inspiration, and that's such a fun approach. I'll have to try that as well. I also really enjoyed your actual tour. For some sketchbook videos, I jump through the video a bit because the commentary isn't very interesting and I mostly just want to see the art. But yours was enjoyable from start to finish. You're very funny and interesting and relatable. Finally, since it seems we might share a similar sense of humour, I'd like to recommend my two favourite youtube channels: Dimension 20 and Drawfee. They're both filled with super kind and funny people, and the comment sections are gathering places for neurodiverse people. It truly feels so welcoming and comfy there. ☘️
Thanks for sharing! And some great inspiration! Ah, mixing everything with everything is my favorite part (*feverishly digging into my collage paper pile*)
I’m the same way-when I’m mentally not okay or angry/going through some things my artwork just flops. It’s either too much or I loose focus on it. When I’m calm I can tap into that darker side if I need to, but my work is much cleaner and easier to understand. I can’t draw or make things when I’m distressed.
Super inspired by this i love mixed media and textures !!! And I never thought to incorporate magazines into my sketch books :3 . Very cool art aaa !!! I love this sm i need to start hunting for magazines to cut up fr oomg
Love your sketchbook - so creative, and I love all the interesting snippets of text you included. A couple laughed in your face?!? Once when I was in high school, I fell down an entire flight of stairs in the dead-silent library, and a nice-ish boy I barely knew tried to ask me if I was OK, but burst out laughing before he could get out the question. Good times!
I can't believe how many subscribers you've got. I thought there'd be more with the quality content. It's raw, messy, and just unique. I'm definitely inspired to fill more of my sketchbook pages after seeing yours. And the video was overall very entertaining. Your narration kept me hooked (and the art too!). Thank you for sharing your sketchbook. Please never stop making art 😸 And about the milk dispute.. I'm not a big fan of a plain glass of milk but I'm not here to criticise people for their food preferences.
My favorite part was when the canoe made a reappearance. I have a couple mentally ill sketchbooks too. I'm doing better too now 👍You made me laugh tonight. You're very creative!
As a code, I can recommend shorthand. Almost no one can read it, it is kind of cursive as you wanted and if you master it, you can write faster than anyone can talk.
I really like these sketchbook tour videos! It’s fascinating to see how the state of mind a person is in effects there art. Your art work is super inspirational and epic! :D
Tryna inspire myself to get my sketchbook out and just make nonsense but enjoy it. I’m so strict now I just don’t. I have the thought process that it has to be in my style or something
I love your concepts and ideas, so glad I came across such a underrated channel, thanks for this video! Andd I'm in an art block and I'm not doing very well in life in general, but this inspired me :)) Also, on the milk topic, I'm the same, I drink it straight and I've been like that for a few years now lol
there's a creature living down my throat. every other midnight it crawls out and demands milk. i don't know why this happens, but i haven't dared refusing its command yet. milk isn't a choice. it's Mice In Little Kaleidoscopes. also, hi to the spiders ^ᴗ^ and your art is quite ~fascinating~
I loved the video!! Really enjoyed that it was a spiral sketchbook sometimes I feel like they get a little too much slander. However I cannot agree with the just straight plain milk as a snack, I have to at least add some sugar or a drop of vanilla but never plain. Anyways tastes are tastes. Keep it up and I'm totally subscribing the vibes were immaculate and your voice pleasing to hear!!
I'm glad I clicked on this video because the hotdog coat story made my day (but for some reason I visualized that the couple were doing the Mutahar laugh while you tumbled down the steet)
I HAVE MY OWN CODE TOOO! I created it basically around 9 years old and I've updated it but now I'm 17 and I'm still using it! Codes are so fun and I think it should be more common.
Very nice. I like this style of sketchbook...an artists sketchbook says a lot about their personality. Mine looks like a nature field guide or study I've been told. 🤷♀️
Subscribing at 1.3k can't wait to check back in when you get more attention. Your art is wonderful. The way you speak about your process makes sense to my brain.
I enjoyed this sketchbook, very inspirational I have 3 that I'm currently not working on. Maybe I should have a glass of milk (grass-fed) to help me get going. Also liked you rings. Wish you the best and let's all get making art. .
You’re so…. Interesting… BUT RELATABLE LOL. I’m like deathly afraid of cockroaches but for some reason spiders are fine I usually take them outside if they’re huge. I have a phobia of accidentally killing a pregnant one so I just don’t kill them at all… it builds tolerance… Also I love your mind… the fingernails only drawing?!?! HOW DID YOU THINK OF THAT ROFLLLL. This was overall a really good and funny video. I also partake in code viewing after church, and I do indulge in the occasional glass of milk for lunch [You’re seriously valid for liking milk on it’s own 🙌] 😂 All of that aside, my favorite drawing is definitely the colored pencil sphinx cat. Good luck on starting your war too! I’ll be on the front lines defending seltzer.
I don't like drinking milk but I don't care if others like it. What I'm more concerned about is THE MCDONALDS STYLE COCA-COLA MUG??? Is that a thing? Why do I want it?
cool thanks for sharing. yeah most of them are intimidating, even yours a bit 😓 my opinion is i dont drink dairy milk, nor do i drink non diary milk by itself, only with cereal or cookies do i enjoy a glass. i will though have a nice glass of non diary chocolate milk by itself and my fav, hmmm 🤔… pg 39, the watercolor window view, then walgreens
You are so talented! The concepts you come up with are so genuinely unique and original. Your channel deserves more views!! 💜💜
Thanks so much!!
Yeah every page is an explosion of fresh ideas and exploration! then wumpfff… depression pages at the end. Wowwwww!

Yesssssss I used to go to two different stores to buy my milk so that the cashiers wouldn't know how much I was drinking a week.
6:56 _"Tumblr would love this"_
my fav
this whole video reminds me of me, my friends, and my time in art school altogether, which i so terribly miss. keep going, terra!
this is genuinely one of the most inspiring sketchbook tour videos i've seen, thank you for being so inspiring. your art is beautiful
i was watching the video, and i realized that you are really underrated!! I watched this thinking you were a well-known artist, you are really talented- I love your art, its great that you're feeling better!
Wow that fancy orchid lady is awesome! Very unique perspective

ooohhh thats a good Idea I'll write that down, thanks!
Love it! Such a genuine reflection of just some things going on in your head ❤
I love that number cutout idea so much, thanks for sharing!

What a fun sketchbook! I thouroughly enjoyed exploring this sketchbook of yours, with you as our guide - that was a dark and emo adventure ;3
I really enjoyed watching this video and all the drawings look absolutely beautiful!! Also can we talk abt how pleasant Terra Zook’s voice is!?
Super inspired by this i love mixed media and textures !!! And I never thought to incorporate magazines into my sketch books :3 . Very cool art aaa !!! I love this sm i need to start hunting for magazines to cut up fr oomg
Honestly my favorite page was the "dedicated space for hosting". Brilliant and hilarious
You're very skilled! I love your imagination and concepts. Also your humor is just my type!

soo refreshing to see a sketchbook similar to mine!!
As a code, I can recommend shorthand. Almost no one can read it, it is kind of cursive as you wanted and if you master it, you can write faster than anyone can talk.
I've looked into shorthand before! It seems really cool!

I am all here for the duck-human sketch figure lol Would love to see position sketches with it !
Well I feel SILLY now cuz i thought it was *fish*
You seem very talented! These were so cool to watch.
As a fellow artist with a mental illness, I also find some of my best work (in my opinion) is when I’m stable.
10:15 I love how you cut out lunchables, and then next to it is breast awareness month

I made a cursive code once too. I still remember some of.
"You have to be sad to make good art."
I can confirm this is a lie because I'm sad all the time and my art is crap.
bruh you're so funny fr 😭i love this so much
this was so cute and fun thank you
Lol our take on this, was when we made mood boards in grippy sock jail and all I put on mine was random QR codes and teeth
Thank you for a wonderful video ❤

My name is also Terra and in my 27 years of living I still haven't gotten a "Tarra." I get tons of "Tara" and "Tera" tho.
I like how you edit
omg cold milk is soooo good
How did you do the ink gestures? I love the medium
Thanks! Those were done with Waterman's ink on a thin-ish paintbrush :)
what a lovely video! it was intresting, thank you!
🥰 Love it...Hotdog Coat, Cow Man 😆😍🤩 The whole thing.... Brilliant!

Where do you find all the little cool sentences and what not? In magazines or just out and about? I need themmmm
yeah, I like to go through magazines and cut out phrases that strike me. It's such a relaxing pastime honestly.
the type of title that cativates me to watch a damn video good shit good shit
Omg are you in Rochester?? I grew up going to sticky lips! Love the sketch book tour
