I really like the repair it just makes sense. I also enjoyed the lawnmower video. I don't understand the folks who complain about audio or video all the time....
Hello, I also use this hot glue system and it's magic I also use black hot glue to solve the problems of missing pieces of hull. Well done and thank you for all your videos
Very good job! I like your style and your mood and I totally agree about the job and how much time can you spend on a job and how much price can you demand from the customer. The problems with old laptops and devices are that the current price of those are low.... (and those are the majority you got when you repair, not the new ones) if a used 7-10 years old laptop lets say is worth 100-120 pounds, u cannot demand 100 pounds or 70-80 pounds for the repair...it isnt wirth it for the customer, its better for he/she to buy the same device in working condition....so....either you do it cheap, or tell him/her that its beyond repair, cannot be repaird but you can help he/she out find a replacement. Either a new one or a used one. It will cost more for the customer but its a long time investment. I often doing this and get paid for the advice, its a consulting fee so everyone can be happy. It olny depends on the budget of the customer but here in hungary for example we have dirt cheap (literally) brand PC's with i5-3470's and DDR3 so...its worth it. I like a fullstack developer and IT specialist using a PC like this....with 16G ram, its doing its job well...very well and its cost effective. BWT I learned so much from you Sorin, keep up the good work and thanks!
For patching hearing aid shells, I used super glue and polymer powder. Dip a needle in super glue then in polymer, it will form a bulb on the end, use this to patch a hole. It would flow right in place for me. You have to cut the shell open any way, so that was no problem. The polymer was flesh colored.
I did a hot glue repair, holds fine for over a year now. I did a repair on a plastic hoover it's okay no problem at all. Something to be carefull about is the heat of the nozzle around the screen plastic.
Great work again I would have put marker texta on the glue bit just to make it look a bit better. Have you ever tried the colored hot glue sticks they work great and are available in lots of colors you should be able to get them on eBay.
Client says: my laptop is hot glue 11gen that imortant not the procesor... Great job i have tried hot glue and worked but u r magician with hot glue. Thanks
It's just about the skills, you have it! First time i try with hot glue i fail but keep trying and SUCCESS! 2 Things temperature and skills, and hot glue is magic :) And yes i forget TANK YOU for all this things i learn from you!
I use hot glue for a lot of things, but with pistolet. I'm going to buy this small hot air, i've one big but for this job it is not easy. To repair in this sort of case, or you buy new parts or you do this, in low price and fast repair. that's not a big issue. Thanks for the lesson!
Just a question Sorin. As a beginner I dont understand why are you putting the red probe on the cathod of the diod when you are injecting voltage to find the bad guy? Shoulden't be on the other side?
Because on the minus of the diode i have ground coming from the switching transformer, so if i come with the power supply on the plus of the diods, the shorted diode it will send my curent to the ground
Sorin, the lawn mower speed is too low now, need to tweak the spring back a little. Make sure the oil is not too high as it can come out of the side tube into the carb and stop the engine. If you want a picture of the spring setup, give me a email to send it to.
I do this all the time but I use a hot intense gas flame and it melts the hot glue together with the plastic but the parts i need to open again I use the hot air
hello sorin, very nice repair video again... anyway, do you remember your bench dc power supply? the brand is dhazeng if i remember, can you show us a video on how to add short cuircuit protection to it? thank you,
Apart from no new thermal paste and not colour match its 100% factory , you can buy 2 in 1 black epoxy like anonymous repair sorin and then light sand , will look nice
But then now you have 2 diodes for this 15A load (for example), then you are stressing them more then when there was 3 of them in parallel, yes it can work like that, but it is then very close to there's max limit, isn't it ? Do not take this wrong, fix is a fix, but still, this diodes are not that uncommon to do not have it on stock or to wait a long time to arrive in UK 😉
From what I understood because they are not the same and no rezistors to balance the load most likely at the power up only the most sensitive will carry all the load until the others wake up and help but one diode should be able to handle for short time. Others are to make sure they don't get hot etc... Hope I'm not wrong
I can understand that customer do not want to pay extra money, but honestly i would never accept such repair where just a lot of glue is applied. From the customer point of view i accept.
Yes, but you would probably not have a laptop in this condition. This was utterly destroyed. Also ordering all the broken parts for this model would not worth it.
@David Rura then pay full repair price including new parts to rework your computer or buy a new computer, the lcd back cover and hinges cost money but if the customer don`t want that extra cost who pay for it?
that was an amazing opportunity to see you fix that laptop thanks for posting :) Sorin master of hot glued hinges :)
I really like the repair it just makes sense. I also enjoyed the lawnmower video. I don't understand the folks who complain about audio or video all the time....
They want 8k and triple Dolby hot glue edition
I am also a subscriber for along time. Can you please tell me how to watch the lawnmower video that i cannot find?

Watched your lawnmower repair I always found that giving the left hand back wheel a good hard kick always helped me LOL
THE RETURN OF THE HOT GLUE HERO! :) Thanks for sharing Sorin.
I do like the "apply power and check for heat" procedure.
Thanks Sorin.
Hello, I also use this hot glue system and it's magic I also use black hot glue to solve the problems of missing pieces of hull. Well done and thank you for all your videos
thank you. i forget that there are colored versions of hot glue.
now Instead of using black marker on top of the cold hot glue, I can buy black one.
Don't worry about the last video, Sorin. It was fun watching fix the mower and that's what's important. This one was a hot glue masterpiece. :D
I like the way you're teaching and diagnostic, especially tv boards ,I'm a fan of it
Thanks for everything

i remember the "black karma" hhhhhh that was so funny ..
I have remember same
Is that the plumber one at sorin s house
Nice one
Sorin, why do they use 3 diodes and not just one diode with higher specifications?
each diode is rated 5A, using one diode must be 15A, too big, no space - expensive also
But then now you have 2 diodes for this 15A load (for example), then you are stressing them more then when there was 3 of them in parallel, yes it can work like that, but it is then very close to there's max limit, isn't it ? Do not take this wrong, fix is a fix, but still, this diodes are not that uncommon to do not have it on stock or to wait a long time to arrive in UK 😉
@@pericaskaro4792 actually not, the load is not more than 3a
Well, then, if there is still room to play it is OK I guess, for which max current are this diodes rated then ?
From what I understood because they are not the same and no rezistors to balance the load most likely at the power up only the most sensitive will carry all the load until the others wake up and help but one diode should be able to handle for short time. Others are to make sure they don't get hot etc...
Hope I'm not wrong
You should be sponsored by hot glue!
Hot glue is fine, quick and cheap 👍🏻 Epoxy would be pretty stupid for those jobs.
what type of hot glue stick you are using?
sir you best
16:40 sorin you could use or try WD-40 is much nicer
Sorin,Why dont you use a hot glue
gun of good quality for better manipulation?
First comment hehehe, the best teacher ever
You are so lucky :)

What's the name of the electric screwdriver you are using?
It's in his description :) wowstick Precision Electric Screwdriver
Braze the hinges, easy
Hot sticky master.
The diode is red hot, and you know what we must do, get the hot glue gun and glue it back together. Case closed. Next!

yes last time it was a mosfat .
