Stray Kids speak really good English, especially Seungmin, Han, Hyunjin (was majoring in English), and even Changbin who has improved so much along with I.N as well, plus obviously Bang Chan and Felix. Lee Know, like Felix said, struggles a bit when having to talk in English but pretty much can read it and understand the basics. The members even say that they speak a lot of English at their dorm and to each other naturally so I guess that helps them improve.
@@noshintasnim3205 It's one of those things we kind of collect in bits and pieces from random little comments they make and whatnot. it is still very much a mystery to me how the other skz members picked up on felix and bangchan's australian accents, but han's accent somehow went from american to british nobleman?? what has he been watching lmao
that's because he lived in malaysia for quite some time. and when they speak english in malaysia, they use to have british accent. no wonder he's got it, but it's still pretty funny :D
The language switching is so real! Especially while learning a new language. Sometimes I study so much that I “forget” the English equivalents for a moment.
bro the thing that chan and felix change between korean and english is so relatable because my first language is not english and like im bilingual along with my siblings so we can never speak in one language its like we have to switch in both languages cause sometimes u just cant think or u forget the word in one language and start speaking the other language lol
2:26 it's from skz fandom tour ep 4, the funniest one lol. all the members were given a mission that they had to do secretly without anyone knowing because if they did, they can try and sabotage your chances of winning. So basically everyone was on edge during that ep, trying to figure out what each other's missions and hyunjin thought seungmin was tricking him so that''s why he said that😂
Yeah, i get it, good on them for trying and learning, english can be hard, even kids born in the US, have a hard times sometimes, like some words can be spelt one way but pronounced a diffrent way.
Their brain changing language all the time 😅😅😅 the switch for 24 hoursEnglish and Korean is on/off, and in presentations around the world more languages are added.
2:31 no lol there was a mission and he (hyunjin) completed his. seungmin said he completed his too but chan said only 1 person did so hyunjin said “you’re lying”
English can be easier or harder depending on what your first language is, because we have things alot of others don't have like tenses (past, present, future). People speaking other languages of germanic origin usually won't find it too difficult, but ppl who have first languages such as a chinese dialect or japanese or korean tend to find it a bit harder because of how different those are to how the basics of english work, and of course all the extra bells and whistles.
If you need to know actually all the SKZ members are fluent in english, Chan and Felix are australian yes. But Han, have the British accent cause he studied for some time in Malaysia, they make people learn the British accent and he's fluent with it. Seungmin also know english pretty well cause he lived in Los Angeles for some years when he was a baby and I guess he kept that accent, same thing goes for Hyunjin who lived in America for some years and he knows how to get fluent with the words, the members that are still trying to be fluent with english are Minho (who actually speaks japanese so good), Changbin and I.N, they were born and raised in Korea and they got the opportunity to study english after they met Chan and Felix who let them learn things!
I wish I had people who supported me and helped me with the language when I moved to a different country for school. People just made fun of me when I spoke wrong. It makes you not want to speak or learn the language but i had to.
me and my BFF speak three language. Chinese, English and Malay. She's good in Malay while I'm good in English, and we learn Chinese. Every time we talk to each other using three different language people think that we share a bond like we understand each other better than other people understand use, and when it's a you got use to talking like that when you talk to some one else who doesn't understand either one of this language it's difficult to communicate like that. Plus, Stray kids speaking English is really funny! ( woarm🪱 )
5:50 is Chan being facetious -- sorry, I honestly couldn't tell from your reaction whether you caught that. This is a native English-speaker responding to someone "complimenting" his English skills, except in this case that native English-speaker has heard that a lot more often than native English-speakers who look the way insulated people expect native English-speakers to look. As an idol, he doesn't get to go "Yeah, 'cause I'm Australian; how'd you miss that?" since the commenter was a k-netizen (to a westerner, he could get away with it, but he'd likely get eaten alive by k-net vitriol attacking him for being somehow disrespectful).
