Great video - very informative and concise. A couple things that I would point out:
    1. Plasma transfusions are a treatment option in the case of a life-threatening laryngeal attack, as the plasma provides the C1-inhibitor enzyme that is lacking in the patient (I have had this treatment multiple times)
    2. I have type 1 HAE, which is also exacerbated by estrogen - so ladies, no estrogen-based birth control!

Great video and God bless you for teaching ❤❤❤❤❤. Please if you can help explain why C 1, C1q & C3 levels are normal ??. As one would expect them to be used up as you illustrated that C1 activates C2 & C4 and then C3. Pleaseeeeeee 🙏🙏🙏

    please help me guys.
I have been suffering from this disease since 2007. now I'm now 36 yo and still have it. I used to have the attack every few month sometimes I wont have it for sex months. when I moved to Vermont which is cold states it increased the amount of episode and the period of time. cold started to effect me as exactly as your description. my lands tangling and foot and I will start to see only small spot of my food (bottom) or finger or 2 finger in my hands. my eyes swelled without tingling. I sleep fine and when I wake up my corner of my eye( close to my nose from the top or bottom sometimes ) swelled. after a while started on my lips mostly under my nose tops on the left or right. and then my Uvula and tonsil. (one side or both sometimes) to the point where I cant swallow anything barley drink water. it used to take 1 to 2 days. last week I had filling at the dentist. when I came back I felt itchy and my Uvula and both Tonsil swelled to the point where the water hurt my top of mouth and barely swallowing it. This time took me 4 days to get better and I was very surprise with change . also it increased the amount of episode and now I have an attack every 7 to 14 days just like u said on the video. I spent so much money on ER due to that was afraid on closing airway . one Dr wanted to cute and see what's in it. thought there was inflammations. I told him there is nothing in it. its swelling and will go away. He poked it with needle while I was under the anesthetic in the ER and he could not know the problems. Sometimes while I was in Vermont . the attack used to increased in September October. April, May. that confused me. so I went to the best Dr specialized in Allergy and he stock bunch of needles in my back and said he could not find what causing it. and he said you have seasonal allergy and put me on loratadine 10 mg daily. my runny nose and throat get better when I laugh but I still have these attack. I'm an athletic person who workout 3 to 5 days a week. So one guy told me to cute the bread. your blood type is O- and bread is bad for you. I looked it up and find out that bread and other thins bad. and I was on diet anyways. so I cut the bread for couple months and I was okay. one day I ate pizza and the next day I woke up my eye swelled. I cut the bread again for 2 month and now I have these attacks even tho I cut the bread. I just have cold and my Uvula and tonsil swelled and surprise that my right side of my nose swelled. and went up to my eye. so now I have flue and swelled nose, eyes, Uvula and tonsil (one side) I dont know what to do. I have dumped over 80k on my health. Now I'm in military fob overseas (middle east ) where Covid cases has increased and not be able to know how to cure this disease. My face latterly swelled while I'm writing this to you guys. please help me if you can. some videos said its C4 deficiency some people said its a hive allergic reaction/ seasonal allergy. some said C-1 Inhibitor Deficiency. your video is awesome. I snapped pic of a lot of things on ur videos so I can show it to ER if I visit. please if you know any meds to decrease these attack that would help me a lot. I know its dangerous to describe meds to someone you didnt see and it can cause you problems, but I'm willing to take any suggestion not prescriptions. Thank you in advanced .
