While I enjoy watching Laur from Garden Answer's videos or vlogs, getting ideas, and putting those thought to my garden; I do enjoy watching your vids, just as much. Thank you for all the wealth of information you provide and for the time you put into making your videos. I've learned so much more from you.
My big box store only seems to have the 1gallon pot available right now- I live in Florida panhandle zone 8b- we sometimes get VERY VERY cold winters- HIGH TEENS some nights- if I plant them now (late October) would I need to cover them on those nights?
If I want them touching at some point I space things that get 3 to 4 feet wide about three feet apart. If I don't want them touching I space them more than four. That is an example. Just depends on how I want them to look in the future
I enjoy your videos very much. I am very new to this so all this info is helpful. I am getting ready to plant the autumn bonfire and some obsession Nandina in zone 6a. I’ve watched your videos on both but I’m wondering if I should fertilize after I plant at this time of the year.
HortTube with Jim Putnam darn! The front of my house doest get any sun at all during the day. I'm having difficulty finds stuff to plant there besides hostas.. any suggestions? I'm in 7B as well btw

I found these on discount at Lowe’s. 50% off. They still look good but are dry. I may pick these up. Thank you for your help.

Great clip! Very educational. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Got my first 3 Encore Azalias this week! Can't wait for our spring! (South Africa)
Going to my nursery to see if I can find 2. These are gorgeous
+Kamoya Ennis It's a good one for sure.
My Azaleas died 😩😩😩 I don’t know what I did wrong, all the leaves and flowers fell off. Only thing left is the branches.
Is it ok to buy and plant encore azealeas in January?

Wow pretty!
Also I just planted a 3gallon lime lite hydrangea-
I don’t think you provided when to prune these. Can you say?
How do you determine spacing between the plants?

Yes, I would. It is safe to do until mid summer
They are beautiful. I wish I could have azaleas but my deer population is too heavy. The deer have eaten all of my azaleas. :(
+Judy Godwin I put motion detection lights in that side of my yard. Seems to have deterred them for now.
Can I plant these in full shade??
+LuvleeLaydiieeLynne Deep shade would not work well. They need some morning or late day sun for sure.

@@jayelynne2374 Try Scentlandia Sweetspire. It does well in shade, but it is not an evergreen.
