From memory, these are cognitive echoes of the characters, so they aren't as strong/are allowed to technically be canon due to not being the originals, pretty cool to see them here, shame they didn't do more with them though :/

@@jamilgonzaga7081 Take this with a grain of salt, considering it's been about two years since I've completed Royal. They don't necessarily elaborate on the term of cognitive echo, but one could assume that because the Velvet Room is a shared experience between all Wildcard Persona Wielders, a cognitive echo is maybe an attendant's construction of the previous wildcards. Alternatively, one could also assume that because of Persona Q being canon, these cognitive echoes are the `lost` memories of Makoto and Yu from Ren/Akira's mind. So to loop back to your first question, I personally think cognitive echoes are just a collection of memories from either the Velvet Room attendant or Akira/Ren given form. They're echoes because they function just as their actual selves would, and cognitive because the Velvet Room takes place in a realm between dream and reality, mind and matter.
But tbh idk I just write FanFiction.

Fun fact, if the switch persona and down someone, they are programmed to not switch during the one more attack, because in p3 and 4 you can only switch once per turn and never during a one more

what does the contract mean anyway? Im always getting insecure with Igor contract was , some MC being died at the end by it for example is P3 MC not like p4 MC still alive also sadly p5 MC being died at the ends .... im start to thinking of Igor was kinda of devil so his contract was a Devils contract to devour the MC souls or even life 🗿

@@andyhrp903 The “contract” is what allows you to tap into your potential as a Persona user, if you have one. It’s the act of forming a full understanding of oneself and their shadow- which becomes their persona.
Basically- the contract is self acceptance.
Based on this example- even Persona 4’s Mitsuo would likely have gained a Persona if he hadn’t rejected his shadow the way he did. But he was so deluded that he made his own persona- not an uppercase Persona with magical abilities, but a lowercase real psychological persona that was incompatible with his own shadow.
If you reject yourself- no Persona. If you accept yourself- that’s the contract and you get your Persona.
If we get something like this for Persona 6, but with Joker, what do you think some lines of his would be?

I kinda wish that P3R had special battles like this and Ren and Yu were bosses that you could fight as well

I like the idea of Elizabeth whittling down Erebus off camera might explain why Makoto/Minato is there in Royal, like Erebus is gradually being weakened overtime that fragments of P3 Kid pop out of the door and show up in the Velvet Room. (Doesn't explain why Yu is there i know but im fond of the idea)
I'm holding out hope that this could mean the thread left dangling in The Answer/Episode Aigis and explored in Arena does get a proper sequal down the line; not like q major release but maybe something along the lines of a P5 Arena, or maybe Gaiden game like the Like A Dragon games that features all 3 parties, might be wishful thinking but i truly doubt ATLUS aren't going to walk away from Blue Haired Boy just yet.

@@moss9602 I probably wouldn't say that Yu is less than Ren, just going off of Ultimax. They're both reliant on bonds but Yu can go toe-to-toe with anti-shadow suppression weapons, a human weapon, and a Velvet Room attendant in canon, whereas Ren hasn't really shown that as of yet on his own (although the twins and Lavenza are playable bosses it isn't like the Arena duology where it's a part of the lore).
How do you get the velvet room like this where you can freely walk around with the real igor, I only remember breaking out at the end of the game
If they ever make P5A, they should bring back Minato/Makoto somehow. If it's canon, explain how Elizabeth found a way to break the seal without releasing Nyx. If not, just add him as a DLC character and let him use Orpheus, Thanatos, Messiah, or all of the above.
I'd love to have him as a playable character and to have some closure on Elizabeth setting out to free him but I absolutely do not want him to come back to life. I prefer the idea that freeing him means allowing his soul to rest or something. Maybe he gets one last chance to talk to her and S.E.E.S. but after that I hope he rests in peace without getting revived.
@@jamessturrs8206 I see where you're coming from. I mean, if he revives will he be revived in a way later time and in an older body (assuming his body still aged since he's just in an eternal coma iirc.) with a younger mind. That alone can be difficult.
He made the move he did knowing that it would be his end. So revival would invalidate part of his decision.
However, they broke the mold in P3D kinda? (Him being partner for Sho for example. I know he could be a standin for Yu but still.) So him becoming an extra DLC character would still be possible even if not canon to the game.

I don't know if the velvet room in P5 is part of human cognition so sorry if I don't understand what I'm saying. Just like how the phantom theives' guns are made real in the cognitive world, wouldn't the protagonist of persona 3 (forgot the name) be unable to summon his persona since he'd blow his brains out first trying to use his evoker
First, is it said that the P3 party members can even summon their personas in the real world If they wanted to but they would have to train hard and maintain an incredible level of concentration, this is kinda explained in P4 Arena and the P3 movies, Second, the Velvet Room, is part of the sea of souls, Personas are literally born there, it's not necessarily part of the other world (Tartarus, TV World, Metaverse), their powers are nurtured (and bought from the Compendium, this is better explained in P1, P2, when Igor uses a phone to call a Persona in the sea of souls) there, so why they wouldn't be able to summon It?
