A Paul Davids video about the golden ratio coming out at the exact same time as this one. I sense some collusion! Edit: posted this before I saw the video. Called it! Love the collaboration!
All basic musical ratios are based off Fibonacci numbers. Music itself is a product of sacred geometry and ratios. 144 is in the octave of 432hz which is mathematically more sound than 440hz. Natural geometry is formed in base 9 like 432hz (4+3+2=9). Watch Robert Edward Grant a polymath expert who can prove 432hz is more sound, and it’s been used for all of human history until 1940. The grand gallery in the great pyramid in Giza is a room tuned to 432hz, it was used for sacred healing purposes. Waters most pleasing frequency is 432 and 90% of your body is water.
Great! I'm an Italian teacher in high school, and tomorrow I'm going to conclude my lesson about "Fibonacci, Nature and Art" with some seconds of your music for my students! Thank you!!!
The piano already is build as a Fibonacci-sequence: You have 13 keys repeating itself in an octave - grouped in 8 whites - 5 blacks - which are divided in 3 and 2... Simply because the piano is build around the harmony of a major-scale. The list goes on and on with nature, bees, plants, cones, pineapples and even in design: bottles, magazines, paintings, proportion of guitars, microphones, human body, human face...It’s a neverending mindblowing sequence 😊
You do realise Lateralus came out years ago, right? They wouldn't have to write down anything as they already did this. Still, have a nice day. Stay safe.
@CJ Sheppard if you like the sould of them then your gonna love when you count out the syllables. Skip the 0 but 1 1 2 3 5 8 5. Its not the only time the Fibonacci sequence shows up but its one of my favorite parts
Tool's been doing this for a long time. Danny Carey is heavily influenced by Enochian ..."stuff" and most of this "math rock" they're known for comes from his personal beliefs.
Was searching for Tool in the comments and I'm quite surprised it wasn't Lateralus mentioned. That song actually does have the Fibonacci sequence in the rhythm of the verse. "Black/And/White are/All I see"...
Sounds like a classic “singing cowboy” type of song from the 1950’s era of movies. It’s really really cool. I really dig it. It’s happy, friendly, and very timeless.
THAT was unexpected! All the talk about mysticism, philosophy, and mathematics, and then Chet Adkins! Easily one of the most enjoyable left turns I've taken on TH-cam recently. Also, your tune was really nice and your execution phenomenal! Keep at it!
The song Lateralus from Tool also uses the Fibonacci sequence for the words in the song. It gives the song a very unique rythme. One of my top 10 best favourite songs ever.
I absolutely love that you did this video project! Tool still blows my mind with the combination of songs that follow the Fibonacci sequence. I think you're amazing for doin this
AWESOME VIDEO, bro. I showed to my high school choir and guitar classes. It is also interesting that the first tones expressed when the Fib sequence is applied to the scale are: C,D,E,G,C,A. In solfege: Do, re, mi, sol, Do, la. Or in numbers: 1,2,3,5,1,6. These are the tones of the pentatonic scale, upon which is based much of the folk and tribal music of the world. The subsequent inclusion of F and B draw us back into traditional diatonic harmonies. Also of note is that the sequence ends on B (scale degree 7 or ti), which is the most common harmonic cadential tone, and sets up the V-I cadence that most western music uses.
This sounds so goood. I think this proves that some musicians truly have the fib built into their soul and they just play it naturally that way. Tell me that doesn't sound like so many really hard hitting old timey or even modern folky song with some modernized vocal line. This is incredible. It really exists in every single thing. Even if it doesn't seem so I really believe it's always there.
sammy g: "get ready, because this could potentialy be a musical force that unites us all and solves all the world's problems" simply g: "WHAT?!? YOU'RE PLAYING GUITAR?! WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN?!?!" "I fOunD tHis apP caLLeD sImpLy GuiTaR aND it'S tEaCHinG mE to pLay"
The sequence that you made sounds natural and happy. Something that you don't hear a lot in modern music. If you just use the sequence and combine it with an chord progression you could make a song that people won't easily forget because it has something natural to it. Just my thoughts on this video that I really enjoyed :D

The golden ratio, which Euclid called the extreme and mean ratio, was the second irrational discovered in the history of math. Square root of two was first.
