My absolute favorite helicopter closely followed by the UH-1Y (gaijin pls add the AH-1Z’s goofy brother)
4:23 Stalinium right here
Hey Tim can you do a vid on the f-16Netz with python added maybe the M3A1 Bradley
Why not a compersion against the MI-28NM?
This thing is stupid strong and yet the AH-64D can't have the AGM-119Ls cause they'd be "too powerful."
Best helicopter in the game.
I miss heli pvp :(
I don't miss just getting spawncamped by ka-50s.
Unless you were flying a ka-50, and unless you were spawncamping, that mode was pointless after about 3-4 minutes into a match. :-(
hate that friendly fire always happened
I get shot down by FF way more often in the Ka-52 than in any other heli I've flown in the game. People just hate this thing lol
There has been many times my teammates shot me down just case they hate the helicopter
Ka-52 has no friends. :-(
Kinda based
What a Dick move killing a capping heli
You'd be surprised how many clips I have of people doing that to me ....
The sexiest helicopter ever, presented by the man with the sexiest voice too
How many times were you teamkilled while flying this do you think?
About half a dozen.
(WAY above average for me.)
Still waiting for Gaijin to add the hellfire with proxy fuse to counter the vikhir missiles
But that would mean balancing the game and making top tier ground less one-sided
That’s not gonna counter the vikhr lmao
Its not feared....Its a pest.
Although it underwent a major nerf recently, so yeah it is still annoying, but at least its no longer really OP
Sitting just above a hill or tree line shooting atgms, getting kills on defenseless tanks, then ducking when a SAM is launched at you, rinse repeat is not a very fun mechanic for the opposing team. The only hope is something like the OTOMATIC to HE proxy you before you get to cover. I really don't like the impact Helicopters have on ground battles. The Vikhr however it is spelled and the tiger fire and forget missiles are a problem in my humble opinion when played like this. Any helicopter can be a problem, but I Feel these two do it the best. That and drones. Fuck Armed drones.
to be fair we also saw that the helicopter wiped out an entire convoy of western equipment such as leopard 2s and bradley ifvs so its still a very effective helicopter in modern combat
Which one was that? I only ever saw the artillery and the suicide drones.
@@terrified057t4 it was a ka something called alligator or something who could fire from 8 km away
@@mattisvuorenmaa6787 I though it was because they were in a mine field and arty got them too
They struck a minefield and got shelled by artillery.
@@Tommy-sn2dm i saw a video about it saying it was an attack helicopter but I can be wrong
The most handheld helicopter in the game.
Note, the vikhr are proxifuze
Good
Vikhr missle got hella nerfed, it is no longer god tier against aircraft
Yes it is
@Skinny6539 Have you used em after the nerf? They don't pull at all anymore, still good in heli vs. heli, but nowhere near as good as they were against aircraft.
@@zfg_daur3612 thats simply wrong, they still pull, and theyre still the best missile to use against helicopters and planes
@@Skinny6539 They only pull 10g man, it's in the change log from the nerf. They suck against planes, you can out pull them
@@zfg_daur3612 you wouldnt understand
Kamov haters be warned: VIKHR GO BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR (Just got ka52)
i love how this thing looks, but it seems like as a design production models have failed to live up to the original specs
Thank you for saying "Kay Ay" and not "Kah." Drives me nuts. "Kah." "Soo." "Mee [Mi]." Drives me insane. All the youtubers do it, especially the ones following the "current events" going on Over There.
You know, I've gotten some less-than-polite emails/comments the other way, from people telling me I should "Kah" , "Soo" , "Too", etc the Soviet/Russian two-letter bureau names because thats how native speakers of Russian say it. I'm not sure why, I suspect a more experienced linguistic expert could explain why, but most Americans I know tend to pronounce-out the two letter designations on military staff. Eff Aye Eighteen super hornet, not Fah Eighteen, etc etc. I guess we just carry that over to foreign stuff out of habit. With the exception of Mig, being three letters, I've always broken out the syllables ever since I was a teenager and first getting interested in this stuff.
@@TimsVariety I believe you get hatemail over it. It's a bizarre recent phenomenon. As someone who is older than the average follower of gaming content and military themed content, from years before the ubiquity of "social media" I can tell you practically no one was saying "kah" or "soo" etc prior to just the past few years. I mean hey you're certainly free to do whatever you like of course and the end of the day none of us has the right to tell you differently, but, trust when I say your way is what has always been normal.
But as you say yes "MiG" was always "Mig" :D That's now as much a facet of Western culture as anything else.
*kah* is alot faster and easier to say than *kay ay*
@@larshenrik8900 How supremely lazy must you be? You're just looking for excuses to defend that nonsense because you think "all the modern milyoutubers do it so it has to be right!" Asinine. "OSINT" youtubers and youtubers who report on Russian invasion of Ukraine are NOT professionals.
why does war thunder have helicopters again
two dozen lost in combat?! according to who? The Ghost of Kiev report, lol!
just a few were lost in combat, on thousands of sorties hitting hundreds of targets from long range.
a few more were hit on an airfield, about double the number of those hit in combat (6 on the ground, 3 in combat)
Vikhr and Bradley, a match made in hell lol
Ka-52K when? Chinese Squadron heli. Ka-52 with TY-90s.
It's from 2010? Wtf is it doing in current WT?
A surprising number of helis and tanks in WT are less than 20 years old.
Not even the newest vehicle in game
KA-52 is the most advanced Helicopter in the world. Come on Tim we all know better than that.
The Ka50/52s are only soo great on paper but with Russian manufacturing and engineering, well, we got Ukraine where they are food for MANPADS, as you said.
Surprise, a weapon system design to shoot down helicopter, used by soldiers trained to use them, is able to shoot down helicopters....
@@richardgaldos6901 surprise, countermeasures aren't working most of the time
@@FTL1511 Ive seen enough footage of counter measures working to know you are just making shit up. KA-52 that are shot down are normally shot down from ambushes by NATO trained soldiers. KA-52 losses are not a sign of bad russian weapons, its a sign of good AA systems or well trained defending soldiers.
@@FTL1511 which should be the case for ALL IR guided weaponry aside of the literally first generation... flares always should be a CHANCE to save yourself not 100% guarantee as it is ... and 3rd gen IRCCM missiles should be basically immune to anything but PREFLARE ...

Are the experts you are referring to the same ones that said ukraine would fall in 3 days lmao
No.
@@TimsVariety because them saying that its the most advanced helicopter when they are being consistently shot down by missiles from the fucking 80s and 70s is a bruh moment
@@Skoodelly Not really.
It says more about the tactics and personnel involved than the equipment.
An F-22 would get swatted out of the sky if you gave it a rookie pilot, no support, and flew it right in front of a bad guy. That doesn't make it any less advanced a piece of equipment on its own.
@@TimsVariety if you flew an f22 right into the bad guy it would demolish it without breaking a sweat even if the pilot was an idiot, there is no areal threat that can defeat the f22, the problem with the ka52 is that its just a piece of shit made out of russian propaganda just like the s400 which was destroyed by a himars (and was hit by suicide drones form the fuckign 70s), the su35 which was destroyed by extremely outdated adf systems, the t90 and t80 models which have more airtime than their airforce, the armata which...dear god the armata has too many problems for this incoherent rant and lets not forget the best of all, the 7 kinzhal "invincible hypersonic missiles" which got turned into scrap by 30 year old patriot technology. What I am trying to say is that the equipment itself is faulty and nowhere close to what it's advertised to be, you can literally find videos of ka52s shaking because of the terrible build quality. This "oh its just the pilots the equipment is similar or better than nato" is just some bullshit so called experts throw out to try to save a reputations because before the war their whole career was putler raw dogging them, its pathetic.
@@Skoodelly Not really interested in a 10-page back and forth, but all I'll say is that people who know a hell of a lot more about this than both of us tend to disagree, and offer a far more complicated assessment of the situation rather than just "Russian trash all bad." There's more to it than that. Sure, some is junk, but some isn't. You're also incorrect about the F-22, but again that's a 10-page back and forth I'm not really interested in.
