I accidentally broke a few frames due to my own clumsiness (Pete was gracious enough to send me some replacements at minimal cost), so here are some pieces of advice to help you avoid making the same mistakes I did: 1) When putting together the frame and the colored base (depicted at 7:30), have your thumb INSIDE the fork while holding the base with your fingers, and apply pressure on the frame base with it. 2) Before applying the "side windows" (depicted at 8:08), check the base of the frame to make sure it is flush with the colored base -- it will be very difficult to fix this once the stand is assembled, so apply more pressure with your thumb inside the fork until the frame is fully inserted in the stand. 3) When using the tool to finish the assembly (depicted at 9:46), press down on the stand until you hear a loud "pop" -- this indicates the side windows are fully inserted in the colored base. If they are not quite flush with the colored base, reuse the tool to push down on the side windows until you hear them pop in.
Thank you so much. These look AMAZING. They are a MUST HAVE if you have any of the games that are compatible with Pete's products. Well worth it for the protect and the enhancement to the game.
I'd really be interested in these character stands if the shipping do Germany wasn't so damned expensive - shipping apparently costs more than twice as much as the actual stands...! So I guess I have to pass.
Thanks for your interest! Yes, international shipping from the USA is ridiculously expensive and a real barrier to everyone. I have no idea why it costs so much when int'l shipping other places in the world is much cheaper. Hopefully someone will shake that industry up a bit and make things more accessible. In any case, I certainly understand not wanting to pay that and I wish I had some way to make it more affordable.
So far so good cool looking. Just received mine in the mail today 03/30/2023

Just received and made these, two breakages whilst making but little bit of superglue sorted, on the whole very happy though so cool.
Addendum don't use super glue it makes the clear perspex go cloudy
