I’ve been surprised at how little wildlife there is here. In the 5 years I’ve lived here, I’ve seen maybe 12 deer. I’d see that in a week in rural Northern Illinois. Reelfoot is the perfect habitat for ducks, but again, you can drive around the lake, take a float trip around the lake, and maybe see 1 or 2. There are eagles, herons and egrets, coots..but an eagle’s even been shot since we lived here.
